Dirk is better in this, Kevin is better in that... they are both great players. But the team they play for, that's the the luck of the draw... sometimes.
When does Garnett's current contract end? Is he better off getting out of Minnesota, where he probably won't ever get a ring (at least under the current management)? He can opt out of his contract in '08. I know he was being loyal when he signed his extension, but he was also VERY well payed. Should he move? Does Minnesota deserve his loyalty any more? Many players have gone from team to team in the latter years of their career searching for a title.Is KG's true goal an NBA Championship, or is he content being the "only" man in frozen Minnesota.... time will tell.

kevin garnett is a championship caliber player under a very mediocre managed team. he can win a title with or leaving minnesota as long as he gets quality teammates. the problem with the t-wolves is that they keep on rebuilding and not noticing that KG is already on his 12th season. i dont think minnesota could afford to lose KG, he needs better management and better teammates..

as to nowitzki, as long as no serious injuries hit him, he'll be one of the best in the NBA. with his range and versatility, he's very effective

sprewell's character problem surfaced which played a big part on minnesota's sub-par performance. it affected the whole team. when they played together for the first time, they ended up #1 in the west, better than the bryant-shaq-malone-payton led lakers, and made past the first round of the playoffs for the first time.
