Ok ra man ang VMWare. If you had a lots of memory and hard disk space. Correct me if im wrong ang minimum requirement sa Solaris 10 is 512 MB of RAM.Originally Posted by dishwasher
Try the VMServer because it is now free to download and use.
my friends running it on his mac about 400MB+ memory for the ui a little more for the rest. lol
first experience with 10 was running at 384 of RAM together with an intel proc and its doing fine. sun site did state the requirements.
minimum of 256 and 512 for preboot environment.![]()
Thnx eax. nakadownlod ko ug vm workstation bt la pa nako na.instol.. will give it a try.. I think much better ang workstation ky pwede manetwork. Im planning to run win2k server and fedora core virtual machines also..Originally Posted by eax
I think ayaw gamit ug workstation kay naa man gud na ug expiration. Unlike sa VMServer or VMPlayer which is free and no expiration.Originally Posted by dishwasher
I've downloaded and installed on a VMWare server the Solaris Express Edition build 54. It has a great UI though it is a GNOME application. The OS is very slow on the VM. I think i'll try this installing on a xen virtualization.
i'm using Solaris 10 on my sunblade 2500, i've been a using different verion's of solaris for 1, 2.5, 8, 10. yep gamay gyud ug support not like linux..
nagpa demo mi diri uf Sun Solaris nga workstation, last december.. daghan na diay naggamit ani nga workstation?
I think it is cool. But it is much slower than my Ubuntu OS.
It has also a free DVD Shipping http://www.opensolaris.org/os/.
Anybody knows how can I mount my Linux partition on Solaris 10?
