Yup, I didn't expect it to be that good. Kay kasagarang cebuano films/ or the ones we see on tv, kay kewaw and dili natural ang ilang acting, especially kung bisaya ang dialect, this Bernadette is an exception, and the rest of the casts too... I know you're in need of more good actors, pero lisud pangitaon ni sa Cebu unless you guys probably do some auditions. Katong babae nakaitom mao to ila chief? She's kinda petite for her character and... dili siya astig.. gamiting kaayo siya labi na pagsulod sa police. I know Schully is petite but.. she's proven her prowess after a couple of episodes.

Probably soon, when you have a variety of choices of actors, there would be appropriate casting.

But the direction, Jurly, thumbs up ko. More power to Sinebuano. La kaayo ko hanaw technicalities pero ang acting akong unang ma notice gyud when it comes to Cebuano films.

But in all... nindot mga bai. Pa investa ta be!

Thank you for your constructive criticism.

By the way, pwede ra ka mo-invest in whatever means. Pwede ka mo-artista or kung naa ka marecommend nga artista nga libere. Kung naa ka mga movie props nga mahatag sa SineBuano, investment na na cya. If naa ka script or movie ideas, dako na kaayo na nga matabang sa grupo.

I am a film enthusiast but mostly on major and indi films. I have to say that this is the first time I get to see a short film. The story is not original thus making it predictable. I already have a hunch on how it will end even before I finished half of the movie. The actor who portrayed April Rama was pretty convincing though. That itself made it worth watching. There was a time somewhere in the early or mid 90's when I could see films such as that on TV (usually aired late at night). I forgot who made those Cebuano films but I thought that Cebuano films where on their way of making it big back then. However, it died down. I don't know why (probably because of the Cebuanos love for Hollywood movies making it harder to produce a Cebuano film. The hell, Cebuanos don't even like to watch movies made in Manila considering Manila has been making films for ages) for I was still a kid then, covering my TV with blanket and using the headphones so that my parents will not know that I'm still up. The editing was ok. I was captured by the creativity of how the title of the movie was presented and was made part of the film itself. The end credits was a bore (it could have used a little creativity). The delivery of the lines and the script was superb considering its in the dialect. yet it appears natural (it doesn't sound so scripted like those in primetime television).

Was good enough but still has a lot of space to grow, but I hope you grow fast enough for me to see a real Cebuano full length film in the international scene.

    It's a 3 1/2 stars!

Just got the pleasure of watching this cebuano film by one of the istoryans I think?

The story is nothing original. If this film would be shown to Filipinos, most of them would have already known the true nature of "the witness".

BUT... I must commend the acting. I expected a much lousier performance but I was actually surprised. I think it could have been even better, I felt it lacked spontaniety. But nonetheless, still pretty good!

Audio suffers for the most part- but that's understandable.

haha. Mas ganahan pa ko ani. The whole 'news' thing could have been much shorter, non-filipino viewers surely cannot relate with it. Halfway through the film, it gets really exciting. I must admit, I was really entertained.

I agree! Although the director has stated once that this was just for refinement.... I think it has a really good aesthetic to it. Jurly truly is a master of his craft.
