Thread: USC or USJR?

if you are considering a school for your nephew or niece, you have to check the following factors:

    1. The quality of instructors

Whether you like it or not, Josenian instructors are the best paid in town. What can you get from a teacher that is not so much paid?

However, it does not mean that any Josenian instructors can give you the best. That is totally false as there are only a handful of instructors who are better. The priest in the school are also incompetent to handle admin work. There was a time that it was handled by an iron lady. Good thing she was not anymore in the school.

    2. The environment

Josenian environment is pretty much better in terms of disciplining students. It is not so much liberal.
I think what is not so good in Josenian environment is that instructors are not so much open to liberal think. The campus itself is not so good to if you are creative. It is only good if you are following rules and if you nod to whatever the admin wants you to do. This is where Carolinian environment excels better.

And if there is something that I would suggest, better not school him/her in any schools in Cebu. Just my honest opinion. if ever you want him / her, then, better get him/her at least a UC diploma. Because even if UC is not so much at par with them, but in reality they are just the same.

I do not believe in our college education here in Cebu. It is below par and the instructors are born in 1970's at least. Which mean they do not embrace the new kind of education that is far better. Also, they usually stuck their method to spoon feeding. If you have a different view, they will go against you instead of facilitating you on how to go through educational process.

Education here in Cebu is about formality. get a diploma and work your ass out for you to be successful. It does not even guarantee you success...

I would prefer for your niece or nephew to go to UC or UV. At least, you won't get too much in tuition.

    nice observation bro!!! -like-

sad to say most school if not all will only resort to KNOWLEDGE TEACHING instead of KNOWLEDGE DISCOVERY.. "here in the Philippines educational process is merely spoon feeding its student rather than discovering new ideas" as what my Pakistani friend (whose a medical student).. no wonder we are left behind by our neighboring countries in terms of research and development.. A VERY SAD REALITY!!
