Ako husband ky almost 7yrs na cya sa maersk. Hinay lang ang promotion basta pinoy ka kay ako hubz ky 2/m iya license pero nagstart cya as ab for 1 yr, almost 6yrs as 3/m and recently lang cya napromote as 2/m. Nice ang benefit ky dli ka magproblema sa sweldo ky on time jud sila and family oriented jud sila kay mga kami nga asawa ra jud makapahimulos sa ila sweldo ky straight to wife's atm sulod ila sweldo.
4 to 6 months ila work then 2 months vacation. If officer ang crew, previlege nga maka kuyog ang wife once a year sa barko. Plane ticket ky company expense.

^ ^ that's true, very organized ang maersk, dli mag problema sa sweldo, fixed salary (dli dependent on which principla), very early pa gani ipadala ang allotment..

as for promotion for seafarers, mas dali ma promote ang nag cadet dha sa maersk whereas gkan lain company bsan naa license dugay dugay gyud ma promote ky priority nila ang cadetship program..
