that Vigilant phlebotomist you said doesnt have HIV detector eyes. He is judging the donors objectively and filter them base on his, as you said, "discretion", which also can be considered discrimination not just to that gay person but to the whole gay community.

    Would a straight woman suck a guy's p3nis with a condom?
You can buy flavored condoms on the market it's nothing new. I am not sure if vaginas have taste buds, but why put flavor to taste on condoms?

HIV tests are not 100% accurate and the precaution taken will do well to raise the percentage of ensuring that the recipient do not receive tainted blood.

It's not about f@gs, it's not about their sexual preference. It's about ensuring that the recipient receive untainted blood. That should be the bigger picture.

I wouldn't risk taking blood from a prostitute, a seafarer, drug addict or anyone being at risk of being a carrier. Anyone of these people could cry uncle at being discriminated at and no one would raise an eye brow but what makes gays so special and different from the three? Statistics prove that gays make up the majority of HIV carriers. This is a fact.

Gay = higher percentage of being a carrier.

Bro...dili lage dapat ma interchange or ma misunderstood ang DISCRIMINATION ug ang DISCRETION particularly in this case.

Sakto gyud ka nga walay tawo nga naay HIV detector eyes bisag unsa pa na sya ka vigilant or sweto,,mao bitaw nga gi-highlight nako ang word nga INITIAL sa initial screening (or preliminary interview) kay naa pa man gud nay succeeding lab tests nga mao na gyud ang tinoud nga screening, BUT the big problem here is that there are proven cases that even with state of the art lab tests naay gihapoy maka lusot nga contaminated blood mostly due to HUMAN error,,,mao nang sa sinugdanan pa lang (INITIAL screening) dapat stricto na kaayo para less chances of contamination.

Ang part sa INITIAL screening is ang visuals / physical nga makita diha diha mismo sa atubangan sa phlebo ug sa would be donor.....

If you have noticed, that people with tattoos can even be rejected outright in the INITIAL phase regardless of there *** or sexual preferences, regardless if they insist that they are clean and decent people....Discretion na sa phlebotomist......Wla na sya nag discriminate sa tanang tawo nga naay tattoo.

Nakita na gud na niya sa iyang atubangan, dawaton / papasaron lang diay gihapon para lang ingnon nga wla sya maka offend or discriminate sa tawo?? Dili dapat.

And so, the same goes for HOMOSEXUALITY, usbon nako ug ingon DILI tanang BAYOT or BAYOTON naay HIV, dili sab tanang BAYOT nakig engage ug male to male s3x......But the fact that HOMOSEXUALITY is statistically proven to engage in such acts mao nang gi apil na sya RISK factors.......Risk Factors nga angay bantayan sa phlebotomists with sound discretion but NO malice or discretion sa donor intended................remember LIVES are at stake.

But anyways bro....we all know that the so called "discrimination issues" are VERY subjective.....naay ubang tawo nga dali ra gyud kaayo masilo...Naa pud uban nga bale walal ra nila.. diba?

But hey peace bro hap....basin unya masaypan ko nimong anti-bayot...Wla na sako ang discrimination regardless of gender, status, religion or uban pa

It's not discrimination. Part of the guidelines followed by the AABB (American Association of Blood Banks) nga mao pud gifollow by most countries around the world is to check the LIFESTYLE of the donor to assess the risk for HIV, Hepa and other blood-transmissible diseases. Ang nakakuyaw lang gyud sa HIV is that naa siyay window period in which the person already has the virus, bag-o pa natakdan, but wala pa kaproduce ug antibodies against it. Ang screening tests available to us karun check for the ANTIBODY. So if the person is still in the window period, makalusot gyud sa screening test, makadonate sa iyang blood and makatakod sa patient. And the number of cases sa HIV are rising fast. DOH-RBC now has 5-6 positive screening results monthly this year, compared sa 1-2 every couple of months 2 years ago.

A donor would be declined if gay-meaning naay history of sexual contact with another man, or dili gay but naay behavior nga high-risk: paid for ***, unprotected *** with multiple sexual partners at one time, *** with someone nga high-risk pud, has had a history of an STD like gonorrhea, etc... The doctor/nurse/medtech doing the interview must be vigilant para dili mailad, kay naa daghan donors nga smooth talkers.

This is for the safety of the patients, which should be of utmost importance. Imagine if ikaw ang patient and takdan kag sakit like HIV nga you would have for the rest of your life.

Tattoos and piercings are ok if more than a year na since you had them done. Naa lang gyuy health personnel nga mubalibad. As I've said, discretion sa nag interview. If gaduda sa lifestyle sa donor, di palusuton sa interview for the patient's safety.
