From a purely basketball perspective the best teams for Macmac from the start would have been FEU and DLSU. Both are very heavy guard oriented systems with great support from alumni and fans. True there are players in front of you, but naa man na in any team (DLSU, FEU, Ateneo, etc).
This is the UAAP. Players graduate or lose eligibility. 2 years is a short time to learn a system before you have another 3 to showcase your skills. If you are truly gifted you should not be scared of taking the spot of the guy in front of you.
If he wanted to become a superstar asap he could have gone to UP and still get good education (wala ra "support").
* as a side note look at Kiefer Ravena's first game.... if he continued to play that way Macmac would have gotten time. Also Kiefer was played at the SG spot in the Adamson game (his natural position). It seems Coach Norman was experimenting by putting Ravena at PG, macMac's spot, during the FilOil.
(wrong info ka na nman bb2. di siguro ka player mao puro ka negative. according to my source macmac is doing well in DLSU his practicing in the team A and playing for the team B. and macmac will play Father Martin's this august. the coach and coaching staff of DLSU is very impressed by the 17 years old. so lets all pray for his success and not saying negative things about the kid. siguru suya lang ka. for me its a right move.)
