I agree that's if it's authentic.Â* Ang nakadaot gud diri sa Pilipinas kada na'ay i-haon ang media sa publiko, mo kagat dayon ta?Â* Why?Â* because basing on our culture we are so hungry for scandals, intrigues, gossip, etc.Â* we don't qualify what we see, hear or read.Â* we immediately accept it at face value.Â* we don't evaluate or discern or analyze.Â* that's why it is so easy to shake a government in this part of the globe.

fully aware of this, this the opposition immediately and naturally used propaganda as a tool. if this happened in the U.S., they investigated first before going public and decide on the guilty party and since the tape was wiretapped and not validated for authenticity. i don't know whose fault it is, probably the media, this should have not gone public yet prior to investigation.

bottomline, the public should know already when they really need to know but the conspirators behind this did not care of the negative repercussions this will cause to our country. they are instigating an intrigue so that people will revolt.

I agree, but the Watergate scandal was investigated and authenticated so there was no stopping to it na.Â* It's different there because there are lesser destabilizers, cheating in elections is remote, the citizenry are relatively more educated so they don't react to mere propaganda, the people are good sports, the people do not want to destroy their country, they know where they stand and takes this kind of thing seriously and people are afraid of the law.

Experts in the field of criminal investigation will tell you that when an innocent person is accused of wrongdoing, they will LOUDLY protest. Their protest will grow louder in direct response to contined/additional wrongful accusations of guilt. Â*On the other hand, a guilty person will either fabricate a false, self-serving story or remain silent, waiting for their accuser to "make the case" against them without providing testimony or information. "Don't tell them anything" is exactly what your lawyer will advise you to do in such a situation...

The current hearings are going nowhere because the individuals who are asking the questions obviously have no background in criminal investigation. They do not appear to have prepared their lines of questioning in advance. They do not protest when the witness does not directly answer the question posed, nor do they confront the witness when they exhibit inconsistencies or variations of earlier testimony/public statements. A witness must be consistent in their testimony if it is to be deemed truthful, but no one seems to notice when the witnesses radically change their testimonies. Isn't anyone listening to the responses?

Another problem area seems to be a lack of information provided to the members prior to the hearing. You cannot properly interview a witness without first knowing the details of the situation/event. That would be like a detective trying to interview a suspect without first having read the police report. It's not going to shed any light on the matter when the witness (or suspect) knows what happened, but you as the detective, don't. These guys don't appear to have a clue about WHAT facts they are trying to establish with their questions. If they did, then they would not allow the witnesses to answer in long, vague narratives that do not address the question asked. But since they obviously DON'T know what line of questioning to follow, they are merely allowing the witnesses to say what they wish in hopes of hearing something that might sound incriminating. Someone should have coached the honorable members in a crash course of Basic Criminal Investigation prior to these hearings. Listening to the tapes (CDs, whatvever) is the first logical step and should be REQUIRED (not just "allowed").
