I will absolutely argue with that...
"BASICS" are what we call foundation of everything and the basic of literacy is at school...

darn right, so you better ask you kiddos to stop schooling (e.g. nursery, kindergarten, elementary, secondary, high school, college, master & doctorate)....... . Oh BTW, some folks over here take education as 2, 4 or 5 yrs course, geezz you better address the sub college, sub HS & even sub elementary w/o it there is no such thing as fundamental. How are you going to compute an elementary math w/o education?

Youre such one funny lil dude (remind me an old poster), kawawa ka naman dude. There is no such thing as easy money nor an ultimate diamonds w/o a cut, color, clarity & carat (you may replace the 4C to a few words known as knowledge through education).

One of the reasons the rich get richer, the poor get poorer, and the middle class struggles in
debt is because the subject of money is taught at home, not in school. Most of us learn about money from
our parents. So what can a poor parent tell their child about money? They simply say, “Stay in school and
study hard.” The child may graduate with excellent grades but with a poor person’s financial programming
and mind-set. It was learned while the child was young.
Money is not taught in schools. Schools focus on scholastic and professional skills, but not on
financial skills. This explains how smart bankers, doctors and accountants who earned excellent grades in
school may still struggle financially all of their lives. Our staggering national debt is due in large part to
highly educated politicians and government officials making financial decisions with little or no training
    on the subject of money.

You can attain education without going to school!!!
Schooling is not the only way to educate yourself, education is just part
    of schooling...
Think of those children who sell items on streets, who never
experienced schooling. How did they learned to count money?
Bet they can even beat your children in counting money. They dont know
literally what is "Addition, Subtraction", but they know how to count money,
which is the basic of financial literacy.
They know better how to budget their money as compared to your children,
coz they started learning financial literacy at young age...
Im not saying that you should never go to school your entire life!!!
If you had the chance, then you must, but you must choose your own learning.
One must not listen to the common advice of the teachers that " Schooling is
the only way to succeed", "Study hard in order get a beter job", "If you fail, you
will never suceed in life", "You're dumb!". All of these were taught in schools,
teaching you more to become poor... How do you define "success"?
Of course success, varies from person-to-person, it's funny though, that
90% of our population thinks that success is "To land a better and secure job",
"To become the supervisor or manager and get the highest paycheck".
That is how schooling taught us to be...to become stupid!!!
If only our old school system be changed, instead of teaching us to become
stupid, it should be "Go to school and study hard so you could build your
own Company", then I would say that schooling is the best way to become
rich and many would become rich!

The higher degree you attained in school, the higher your tendency to resist failure, which in fact, SUCCESS is measured by FAILURE. The more you fail, the more you suceed!!! Now, take a look at our OLD SCHOOL SYSTEM, teachers would yell at you if you fail. The more you fail in school, the more your chances to get expelled. Along came your parents, knowing that you failed, they would scream at you at the top of their lungs, 'coz they were also taught with the same Old School System...
After that what happen? You created your own greatest fear which is FAILURE.

---Fear of failing, that youre friends would laugh at you.
---Fear of failing, that youre parents would yell at you.
---Fear of failing, that you will be rejected.
---Fear of failing.....Fear of failing....Fear of faiing...

Tell me by what means are you going to SUCCEED in life, if you are afraid to FAIL?...

I have nothing against schooling, it's the best way for you to achieve your professional skills and degree, so that you could work under and be paid by those "funny lil dude" and complain that your salary is not enough to pay your dues... And of course, we also need balance...
coz if everybody would stop schooling, who else are going to work for "funny lil dude"?...

Default Business Opportunity or Educational Degree?

I really really appreciate your long post even though you bash so much about schooling then all of a sudden you throttle down "I have nothing against schooling".

One of the reasons the rich get richer, the poor get poorer, and the middle class struggles in debt is because the subject of money is taught at home, not in school.
Pls. consider more parameters on your argumentation, its not all about money. Back on my hommies we don't talk so much about money but my folks keep on reminding to practice a good virtue & stay in school to enhance our wisdom

The child may graduate with excellent grades but with a poor person’s financial programming and mind-set. It was learned while the child was young.
How can you tell these, are you referring to your experience. Cause my experience well tell the other way around. Sorry to spoil your fantasy but your statement wasn't not norm on our life. OMG. How far a child must know? Does your parents push you to a limits?

Money is not taught in schools. Schools focus on scholastic and professional skills, but not on financial skills. This explains how smart bankers, doctors and accountants who earned excellent grades in school may still struggle financially all of their lives. Our staggering national debt is due in large part to highly educated politicians and government officials making financial decisions with little or no training on the subject of money.
Have you heard back at school the words like economics, banking, supply & demand, taxation, etc... & etc. If you have a chance try to correlate those words with money.

You can attain education without going to school!!! Very Happy Schooling is not the only way to educate yourself, education is just part of schooling... Laughing Laughing Laughing
Are you referring to correspondent? OMG its home schooling. BTW did you parents tell you that the very 1st education start at your home & going to univ. well enhance your wisdom.

Think of those children who sell items on streets, who never experienced schooling. How did they learned to count money? Very Happy Bet they can even beat your children in counting money. They dont know literally what is "Addition, Subtraction", but they know how to count money, which is the basic of financial literacy. They know better how to budget their money as compared to your children,
coz they started learning financial literacy at young age...

Sure enough they don't took education on there life? I mean the street children, funny you keep on assuming. BTW, kids right now can handle counting, addition & subtraction at kindergarten level. Heck even some nursery kids can handle the task. To avoid less variables take a native (doesn't expose to rural or uban life) as your example & then let me know if they can handle counting, adding & subtracting at elementary level.

Im not saying that you should never go to school your entire life!!! Laughing If you had the chance, then you must, but you must choose your own learning. One must not listen to the common advice of the teachers that " Schooling is the only way to succeed", "Study hard in order get a beter job", "If you fail, you will never suceed in life", "You're dumb!". All of these were taught in schools, teaching you more to become poor... How do you define "success"? Of course succ ess, varies from person-to-person, it's funny though, that 90% of our population thinks that success is "To land a better and secure job", "To become the supervisor or manager and get the highest paycheck". That is how schooling taught us to be...to become stupid!!! I pity (hope this is the exact word) on you, sound like you been stuck with the old school thought. Time to move-on, use your common sense.

The higher degree you attained in school, the higher your tendency to resist failure, which in fact, SUCCESS is measured by FAILURE. The more you fail, the more you suceed!!!
WTF (i lost my sense of humor for a while, pardon my lingo). Are you serious on this matter. Think about it.... please think about it.

Tell me by what means are you going to SUCCEED in life, if you are afraid to FAIL?...
There is such thing as calculation right? Use it as tool vis a vis with your wisdom another advice from kalinaw. Heck its not from kalinaw its universal approach to any problem.

---Fear of failing, that youre parents would yell at you.
---Fear of failing, that you will be rejected.
---Fear of failing.....Fear of failing....Fear of faiing... Very Happy

Tell me by what means are you going to SUCCEED in life, if you are afraid to FAIL?... Laughing Laughing Laughing

I have nothing against schooling, it's the best way for you to achieve your professional skills and degree, so that you could work under and be paid by those "funny lil dude" Laughing Laughing Laughing and complain that your salary is not enough to pay your dues... Laughing And of course, we also need balance... coz if everybody would stop schooling, who else are going to work for "funny lil dude"?... Laughing Laughing Laughing
