I was a hardcore AMD user back in the Tbird to A64 era (after Intel's CuMine). After that, Intel dominated the mid-high end market. AMD got stuck with their cheap 6-core processor which only performs like a mid-range dual-quad Intel processor. So that Ivy Bridge will be cheaper! yeah!

I just hope AMD can make a good come back, at least a close-to-equal performance. 8-core processor against a quad core? are you kidding me? more cores + more power consumption? well, hopefully it can perform like an 8-core processor.
