What makes PS3 better than Xbox?

Attorney, Me & others here own Multi-consoles. We enjoy everything that both companies have to offer like Halo, Metal Gear, Gears of War, God of War, Killzone etc..etc. But the 3-Sexy got the most of our playtime... for REAL. And of course you gotta be "Legit" in order to enjoy these incentives.

The 3-Sexy is our "Preference." Why? 2 words..

The PS3s exclusives are 'meh'. ME2 on PS3 isn't better. It runs on a better engine, but certainly doesn't look better. It is littered with texture pop-ins. Sure it's on one disc. But if that is something you hold against the 360, you have issues bigger than multiple discs if you can't get off your ass after playing the game for 15-25 hours which is how long you'll have to play before a disc change. Oh did I forget, that while PS3 players are raving about ME2, that 360 players are saying ... "brah, that's so a year ago brah". Oh and yes, PS3 players didn't play ME1, so they won't have decisions they made in ME1 carry over to ME3. So irregardless of the PS3 having ME3, the premiere platform for ME3 WILL be 360.

Now let us talk about the PS3 and 360 losing exclusives. People always talk about the 360 "losing" exclusives to the PS3. Let's flip the coin over and look at games that were exclusives or were considered premier PS games... Ridge Racer, Tekken, Final Fantasy, Ace Combat, Grand Theft Auto, Metal Gear Solid (soon) ... and many many more ... far more than the other way around. So don't begin to act like there is a mass exodus from the 360. The fact is, you blame Microsoft for buying the loyalties of developers and publishers, but excuse the fact that Sony has been doing the same thing for years since the PS1. However, most developers today would rather publish their games on the 360 than the PS3. The only games that Sony has kept exclusive are the games they bought off or by developers they own. Lets continue to talk about exclusives. How many of them were worth the praise you heap on them? The only ones I recall being standouts are God of War 3 and the Uncharted series.

Killzone series? ... meh.
MAG? ... wow, really?
Heavy Rain? ... meh.
Gran Turismo 5? ... seriously? The 360 had two Forzas that were better in terms of realism, physics, innovation and looks. Ok, ok, GT5 had shinier cars.

... my point is PS3 exclusives are as mediocre as any other game out there. Just because they are exclusive doesn't mean jack shit. You also blame Microsoft on bringing multiple follow ups to their exclusives. Really? Are you serious? It makes business sense to do just that. Halo has always sold big, that makes sense to make more Halos. Killzone on the other hand was mediocre and didn't sell well, but there's three of em. Resistance ... three of those. Gran Turismo? ... hell they actually sold Prologue ... an incomplete game. WOW.

Now lets talk about the online presence of either console. Wait, let's not. Sony and it's fanboys should just shut up because the PSN is a joke. Case in point ... I can't even get on right now! My Hulu subscription is going to waste because they can't get their act straight. Thank God they lost their exclusivity to Hulu Plus to the 360 or I'd be throwing bricks. The two saving graces that the PSN has over 360 is Steam and cloud saves ... but that's kinda useless if I can't even get on for over a month ... oh snap! Wait, wait, wait ... are you playing down the fact that Sony was so incompetent that they had hackers get the personal information of the entire PSN userbase? Really? Let me lay it down. Sony is incompetent because they were using an unpatched version of Apache. They knew this and didn't do anything. Are we supposed to blame the hackers? They stored unhashed passwords ... UNHASHED AKA IN THE CLEAR. Now perhaps you know nothing of computer security, but that is something a first year computer science student does. It is not something that you do when you have a database with millions of users. Are you still blaming the hackers? Even Sony has fessed up and said "my bad" ... yet you still defend them? You compare this to 360 hardware failures? ... which didn't affect everyone ... which didn't lead to anyone's identity being stolen ... which didn't put my personal information out ... which didn't reveal my password not only for PSN, but for other sites as well. You compare this to Live accounts being "hacked"? Let me lay it down for you once again. Those Live accounts DID NOT reveal personal information. Those Live accounts DID NOT reveal credit card information. Those Live accounts DID NOT reveal passwords. Those Live accounts being hacked had nothing to do with Microsoft, they were compromised because users used easy to guess passwords. Those Live accounts were hacked because users are just so bright that they fall to common fishing and social engineering schemes. Those Live accounts did not just involve Xbox accounts, they involved all of Live services. If you were dumb and fell pray to phishing or other ways to get your information, Live was just one of the services that you gave away to hackers. So it was not a problem relegated to Live. If I were to liken it to this Sony incident ... it'd be like me not having access to my Sony Bravia TV internet apps ... because yes ... they are part of PSN too. None of this "hacking" actually took place on Live servers. It was more likely that they phished information while chatting with some hot 16 year old on their computer.

Let me put it in terms you can understand ... Sony got hacked because of incompetence on their part. Microsoft DID NOT get hacked. Their users got hacked because their users were incompetent. Now unless you have the audacity that PSN users never screw themselves, then yes you can blame Microsoft. No it wasn't a "collapse" like you say. It was never down for close to a month like some other services. There was never a time where you couldn't even play offline because your game couldn't sync trophies.

In conclusion. I love my PS3. I don't appreciate complete utter incompetence that people still defend even when Sony themselves ... even the damn CEO ... has said sorry about. Don't feel sorry for Sony. They don't need your pity. They are a large corporation. You owe no allegiance to them ... except of course you are 12 and can't afford both consoles. That is the only reason why someone would be a fanboy. People like to defend their flawed purchase decisions.

Now let me answer the first question ... there is only one @lithardcore ... It is kinda funny that people still blindly follow their fanboyisms. Get both systems brah. Seriously. prefer those exclusives. I don't ... so I used my PS3 for Blu-Ray, Netflix, Vudu and Hulu. As a media center, PS3 is great, it is quiet and very capable. Every other feature can be argued for and against.

@vern RROD and PSN attack are a bit similar (cause by their greed and stupidity)... PSN being attacked was due to negligence and idoicy thinking they wouldn't get hacked... RROD was cause because of Xbox360 being rushed to compete with Wii and their lack of proper QA... both companies just want your money and they will do anything to get it... but you have to admit, Sony execs apologizing publicly is pretty damn good... you don't get that very often XD a company apologizing is one thing but when their top dogs actually goes public to say sorry to everyone is impressive XD

The battle continues to rage concerning exclusive titles versus multiplatform; while many see the obvious advantages of a developer focusing entirely on one piece of hardware, others complain that such an approach requires hardcore gamers to pay extra money for multiple systems.

And that's part of the reason people say things like, gamers want an end to exclusives, which is a sensible statement in and of itself, but doesn't take into account various factors. For instance, right off the bat, I always find it amusing how many Xbox fans (who have never owned a PS3 and have only seen its exclusives in advertisements) seem to believe that everything on the PS3 can be done on the 360. This, in the wake of multiple developers stating a hundred times over that game franchises like Uncharted absolutely could not be done on any platform besides the PS3. Perhaps the MS fans just think the developers are lying.

It all could go multi, theoretically; Uncharted, God of War, Gran Turismo, Heavy Rain, Killzone, LittleBigPlanet, etc. could all be on the 360. But they'd all have to be changed significantly; most wouldn't even be able to function as straight ports; designers would have to rebuild to accommodate for the - let's face it - lesser hardware. Or even if you don't agree that it's "lesser," it's certainly a very different architecture, which is exactly why many of the best games of the generation are exclusive. Gears of War is great but if it had to be remade to fit into the PS3's architecture, would it be as good? Maybe not. Then again, if any game was made primarily for the more powerful machine, it should definitely benefit. But that's a different subject.

The bottom line is that developers will always complain about how different the PS3 and 360 are from a technical standpoint. Therefore, if exclusives disappear, the maximum level of possible quality will fall. It's inevitable. If we continue to force even the most talented game makers to jam their game onto two extraordinarily different pieces of hardware - despite their growing ease with them - we'll never reach the potential of an exclusive. When a developer can throw all its weight, effort and resources into focusing entirely on one architecture, the best results are possible. But until that day comes, exclusives will continue to be the cream of the crop.

And as for PS3 exclusives vs. 360 exclusives... Please. That's not really still an argument, is it? I mean, Uncharted 3 on the 360? Naughty Dog is currently snickering behind their sleeves.

I said this once before, Your personal information is not safe anywhere. If microsoft nag take sa stand sa Piracy, sila ghakan. But it ws sony. so sony na hackan. They tried to do the right thing and got hated for it. And xbox fanboys and stupid (Yeah, stupid. People who complain without reason or with other peoples reason) reason to hate.

But same goes for the PS fanboys, if Xbox got hacked, it be green light for them to flaunt their "superior console".

Also, the reason why Xbox has a better security is becaus they have been in this game longer then Sony (online i mean), they know what they are doing.
