Well.. the problem about debit cards here in the Philippines is that not all POS that you see in every store or merchants are capable for a debit card transactions.. there are few but very limited.. I think it needs a support from the business sector as well as the financial sector like the bank and credit facilities.. some of the banks are already coming up with 3-1 card (ATM, Debit, Credit card in one).

para safe pud inig withdraw, ayaw withdraw dagko nga amounts example mowithdraw ka ug 1000 imo ra kaduhaon ug withdraw para dili tibuok 1000 bill ang ihatag sa machine, mas maayo 100 bills tanan para if usa ana fake dili kaayo ka alkansi.

Kuyawa gud naa sad diay fake money sa ATM? How come dli kahibaw ang mga bangko ana nga in the first place sila dapat ang una makahibaw kung fake ba ang money and beside unfair kaayo sa mga nagwithdraw kung makatiming sila og fake money from the ATM den dli ilisan sa bangko. Unsa na ang bangko na kron mopakatag sa fake money which on the first sila ang gisaligan sa mga tawo nga genuine jud tanan kwarta sa bangko.

i also want to share my experience on a fake 1,000 bill.

i was doing payroll for our OJT's when we had our messenger encash it in a bank. we had the payroll on a friday.Three hours after work... i received a call from one of our OJT's that he's been held for questioning in Metro Ayala for having allegedly used a fake 1,000 bill which he used to buy groceries. I talked with the personnel of Metro and told her that the money came from us through our entrusted bank... Fortunately, I have convinced them enough that our employee is not a crook... Poor thing... When i clarified it with the bank, they told us that it couldn't have came from them since they checked the authenticity of the money before dispersing it to their customers... Then we could not charged it to our messenger because it would be unfair for him, after all these years, he has been worthy enough to gain our trust... and it is the first time this has happened.

our countermeasure: management decided to buy counterfeit detector for our messenger and one for the company, and we made it accessible to our employees so that they could personally check to whether the money we dispersed to them is fake or not.
