    Kasagaran mga Pinoy kay gusto ug instant. And who wouldn't want that? But the thing is, one in a million ra ang chance nga ma-instant billionare ang usa ka taw. Ambot ngano averse ang mga taw sa principles of hard work, patience, and determination. Most successful people report starting from scratch before making it to where they are. I don't think the TS means nga mu-grab na lang ta sa whatever job there is, regardless of sweldo and such, para lang maka-trabaho ta. I see his point that there are tons of opportunities available gyud, pero dili lang ta willing maninguha kay gusto nato nga naa dayon atong dreams and desires in a single snap. Well, unfortunately, reality does not work that way.

    i agree with the 2 posts above. and as ive said the topic is broad.

    but he said "dont be choosy" and he's been using "YOU" the whole time. and he mentioned this "gi sapot kos balita nga daghan walay trbaho tungod kay mamili trabaho." he didn't specify what population or level of people. If he specifically mentioned people who are really poor, didnt reach college and the likes, of course I would think different. if you read the 3rd paragraph he is generalizing the whole jobless population.

    He said jobless and not 1st time job hunting process. If its 1st job of course start from the bottom dont leap up. common sense para sa taw if wala siyay experience and dili iyang field ayaw nalang patugatuga kay dili raman pud ka ihire sa HR. but if confident ka nya dili ubos imong self esteem, RISK IT, TRY to apply to a higher paying job. iF ubos imong confidence level and wala jud kay pagsalig sa imong self then just endure a low paying, boring job na dili ka happy. then apply later if taas nakag confidence.

    If wala ko mamili nya akong giaccept ang Global or the lower pay position just for the sake na naa koy trabaho and wala ko magrisk and modesire og higher pay, og wala ko maghuwat sa ubang companies i think dili jud ko moasenso. and i nagwaste lang jud tngali kog years sa akong precious life.

    @klave i agree with you but hope you get our point too. topic is complicated since nakageneralize man

    @CocoCrunch

    Somewhere along the way, my tone changed. I wanted to make those who disagreed to be an example that you are able to seek better options because you deserve them, or maybe I did express that.

    I am simply making a line early, made sure you were allowed to express your sentiments because you were competent and deserving.

    I also made it solid that ranters should start to look at themselves first before they run their mouths. I would also like to express that I have a love/hate relationship with a person falling into the category of the ranters. They are ignorant, bitter and very miserable, at the same time they could never bring themselves to do what is right just because they think they would be wasting their time. But in the end, they don't have jobs, back bite everyone who has jobs ( heck, he laughed at me for sighing from being exhausted from work), they are not really good people, but you have no choice but to treat them well, for the position they hold in your life.

    I agree. I can most relate to your hate/love you've mentioned.
    A perfect example is my father. He has 5 kids and a plain housewife. His resume consists of 38pages. just imagine how qualified and overqualified he is for positions we can never get. BUT he's lazy and just as miserable as everyone else with low self esteem. I was raised by my grandmom for 16yrs and started to work at 19yrs old and eventually became the head of the family. Ako ra jud ang ilang gihatag sa akong lola.
    I am always bitter to my father for NOT being choosy.
    He now works in the government -just monitoring water pipes and sitting all his hours in a dam* nipa hut. with a P285/day wage for his 5kids (2 in college, 1 with a live in partner - both have no work). He was not being choosy so for the sake that he has a job and he is earning, he never looked for anything else-he never chose to do better. Furthermore, (drama na kaayo.lol) since i was being choosy and realized that my family is in dire need of financial solutions, I took risks and did everything I can. I was always following the preferences I set and have been maximizing my time to do better in things I do.
    My point is, there's also good things for being choosy. It's a win-win situation though.

    ps, OT: ive just turned 24yrs old today

    Whew! You don't know how much we have in common, with the mediocre father with five children. Hmmm, there is one weird thing though, fathers like these can sometimes succeed to have kick-ass sons/daughters like us! We may just be lucky but deep inside, our father's mistakes may have defined how much we want to succeed in life.

    it's not just being choosy....if you don't like the job, regardless of the pay, why stick into it?
    i, for one, am still looking for a normal day job, so long as it pay minimum, i would gladly give up my current job....

    coke/pepsi/san miguel, please give me a call!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
