of all the HDDs that failed on me, it was only a 40gb WD (IDE) before... oh well, I didn't have any computer knowledge back then and it must have been related to a generic power supply...

My opinion, doesn't really matter what brand you pick since most of these companies are reputable, just ensure you're using a true-rated PSU and offer voltage protection devices in your computer.

    ako lang masulti "Forget Samsung"

Based on experience, tanan jud mga computers nga ako gipang gamitan og Samsung HDD mangaguba lang jud og kalit or lets say di jud magdugay.

Im always using WD so far so good.
Seagate = Ok ra sad Seagate

I've been using Seagate/WD before but I've switched over to Samsung since their F1 series came out, currently using F3.

Samsung drives run cooler, more silent and cheaper than WD and Seagate and out performs both, the WD Black 1TB 64Mb cache (FAEX Model) cant even catch up to the F3 which is 1.4k cheaper in price

Harddrive is still luck of the draw, I've seen enterprise class from seagate and WD fail in just 1-2yrs and these drives are rated for 24/7 operations in 5-7yrs. Also bati ang samsung nga dili "F" series.

Seagate user here since i started assembling PC..

but then there are other factors called..Adequate Power Source ( PSU + Proper power plugging ) and Ventilation etc.
