albeit trivial, informative pa gihapon so cge taga-ag chance nga scientific ang initial thread post. but after that, wa na may scientific comment except that of rodion's...tsk tsk tsk.
back to the dead sea, looking at the bright side di kuyaw malumos sa dead sea. the downside is, kun maka inom kag tubig sa dead sea its salt concentration is so high it can be fatal.

This a good example of a thread nga still has hope to become a thread of fact rather than of spiritual/supernatural nature. I allowed it as an experiment to see if you users yourselves can perhaps learn to "steer" the topic towards more factual/scientific discussion. I am pleased that people like diehard96 does monitor such tendencies. I hope you heed his advice.

If this self-steering attitude prevails, I will be less knee-jerk on my reactions on which thread to close/disallow and which threads to preserve.

While it gives a sad lesson in morals, the Dead Sea contributed so much to biblical history by preserving about 972 texts of the Hebrew Bible that were discovered in 1940 in its surrounding caves. Knowing salt to be a good preservative, high salinity in the area may have contributed to the preservation of the Dead Sea Scrolls...my 2 cents

    not really selfish...

salts of dead sea water are compose of magnesium, potassium, calcium chloride and bromides.

Magnesium importante ni cya for combating stress and fluid retention, slowing skin aging and calming the nervous system.

Calcium is effective in increasing circulation and strengthening bones and nails.

Potassium helps to balance skin moisture and crucial mineral to replenish after exercise.

Bromides ease muscle stiffness and relax muscles.

Sodium is important for lymphatic fluid balance, important for immune system function.

ang water sa dead sea is unique kay it contains 27% of different salts compared to normal sea water na 3% salt. sa sea water almost 80% sa salt kay Sodium, sa dead sea less ra iya concentration sa total salt.

although walay ikahatag na food ang dead sea..naa man pod cyay ika offer na therapeutic effects.
