I went to Manila and found lots of Terry Brooks books. I got one but i don't really like it. I love the Deltora books of Emily Rodda. Actually, it for kids and I am over the legal age. Doesnt matter. I like books for kids!

    - Time of the Twins
    - War of the Twins
    - Test of the Twins

Although from the same authors, I feel the following was anti-climatic (murag gidali just to finish the saga)

    - The Second Generation (children of some of the heroes above)
    - Dragons of Summer Flame

Kung mas addict ka nako, then you can read all the books listed here http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of...nicles_Trilogy.

Naa pa dyud after Dragons of Summer Flame but I don't know, the characterization and the interaction of the children of the original companions weren't as powerful as that of the original companions. Panagsa ra ko muhilak while reading books and the 6 books above made me cry (boys do cry you know).

    @about:

I read Eyes of the Dragon (I hope padayon himuon movie or maski HBO or Hallmark ra) and medyo bitin kay naka-eskapo sa Flagg. Gigukod hinuon siya ni Thomas and Dennis and the story ends there hinting that there might be a continuation but up to now wala. Flagg was mentioned pa gani in the Dark Tower series (which I didn't finish because when I read the first two books, dugay na waiting time between novels, paeta ani Stephen King oi, mas grabe pa siya kay George Lucas na 3 years ra waiting).

well if your interested about the origin of such fantasy books start with TOLKIEN..the language or grammar used may be too deep to understand but considering the fact that i was ordered to make a book report of LoTR when i was grade 6...its really not that incomprehensible or much of a burden when reading it...

and after you've finished with the Tolkien...never ignore ROBERT JORDAN'S Wheel of Time (WoT)...that spans around 11 books in which 10 have been published

IMHO...WoT feels more "Epic" and is really hard to put down...except for books 7 and 8 (those were kinda lame)...

When you're looking for good fantasy books, it's always good to start with the books that started them all.

Start with LOTR. And then branch out to the fantasy books that suit your taste. Here's a mini review of the more known ones.

    Eddings - Fun. Funny. Derivative.
Wheel of Time - Epic. Engrossing. Obsessively-Detailed.
Sword of Truth - Fantasy Drama in Overdrive.
Dragonlance - Best for Fantasy Newbies.
    Paolini - Not Very Original.
Dune - Philosophical and Deep. Not For IQ's Below 135.

Luthienne mag shopping nya ta next week! Text me amiw. :P

Tell me more about Paolini and Dune next time. And don't forget I need Book 9 of The Wheel Of Time. You promised. Tc.

Sabat lang ko about Salvatore. Drizzt Do'Urden is my favorite character out of all the characters he made. So I'd agree it's a don't-miss.

Dragon lance books..they are easy to read and entertaining. Haven't read Forgotten Realms na mga books but I think they will just be as entertaining as Dragon Lance without having to go into complicated English words.

Try to read the "A Song of Ice and Fire" series by George R. R. Martin.
    - A Game of Thrones
    - A Clash of Kings
    - A Storm of Swords
    - A Feast for Crows

I really love how the novels progress..kinda nice since wla jd clear good or bad...very "human-like" ang characters since naa jd sila flaws.

Kinda brutal lang ang author sa iyang mga characters. hehehe so expect the unexpected they are gonna make an HBO series sd based on the books..not complete pa nuon ang books, in progress pa...3 more books to go til the conclusion.

complete sd ko mga terry brooks and also have some Stephen King

Tsk..wla jd ko kakita mga Drizzt Do'Urden dri sa cebu
