I know for a fact I pay more taxes than some larger sized corporations.

mas advantage gani ang naa sa multinational companies! all employees regardless of rank and position in a filipino corporation are taxed to a maximum of 30%, this is the same for self employed professionals, ang difference lang with the professionals is that they get a 40% optional deduction to cover office expenses.

with multinationals, the reason that the withholding tax was lower before was that the foreigners are also taxed in their home countries, for example in the USA, the maximum tax is 25%, that is why they are taxed 25% here but they can claim that 25% as taxes already paid in their country. for filipinos working in multinational companies, their maximum tax is 30%, so dapat lang 30%, not the same as the expats or the whites!
