I agree that this numbskull Singson should be stripped of his post as a Congressman, but I highly doubt that will happen given his and his equally morally-depraved Dad's ties and influence. Since it's apparent that he's not going to be stepping down/conceding his seat in Congress, the only other way a member of Congress can be removed is provided in Art. 6, Sec. 16(3) of our Constitution which states that the House may punish/suspend/expel a member for disorderly behavior with the concurrence of 2/3 of all its members. Of the 283 current members of Congress, we only need 189 to do the trick.

In a perfect world where brave and incorruptible men and women make up the majority of our public officials (and not the other way around), this joker Singson would've already long been suspended and eventually expelled. But such is not the case. It's already been months after Singson was apprehended in HK but we've yet to see any reaction and action by his fellow Congressmen. I'm sure they know that they have the power to discipline him, so why are they holding back? It's like they're waiting for the boiling water to simmer until it reaches oblivion.

I hope I'm proven wrong. Time for Noynoy to step up to the plate, wield his influence and power, and make good his promise of eradicating corruption during his term as the Chief Executive.

agree ko anang expulsion ni rep. singson... if he is a drug user, unsa naman lang iyang mahuna huna as congressman... basin matulala na siya sa house hearings... or lutaw kaayu ang huna2x...
