It's really a matter of personal choice if you had money then go for the legit otherwise go for JB, jailbreaking isn't breaking your PS3 or something is more like exploring what are other capabilities does PS3 can do. Just like what I've said if your on JB and you wanna go back playing online just update you're firmware to the latest then your good to go.

mao ra gyud na ang solution...nya people like me..nga dili gyud halos maka afford ug legit nga games..so i stick to jb nalng..lingaw pa ang akong anak...ug naka save pa ko money hehehehe...tudloan na gani nako unsaon pag download sa games..extract sa files then copy sa console..hes only 10 years old pa..bwahahaha...

For info purposes only...
you can still play online even in a jailbreak ps3. proper usage of software that can be use..(reading some info doesn't hurt).
PS 3 jailbreak is a option & choice.. whether you go legit or not it is your choice... bottom line the ps3 you own is yours not from other people.. so you can do whatever you want with it...
