bai, even the largest forum in the philippines have problems that they still try to solve. no forum is perfect. but istorya.net has a planned course, which we cannot divulge yet.

did you guys realize the HTML is on in reply to topics? meaning you can use the <img> tag and dictate the size. haven't tested this but it might be worth the try.

the KG: bai, basahi ang tubag nako. the software i was referring to was the forum software. also, please keep in mind that like ordinary members, we have work to attend to. contrary to popular belief, we have our own lives to live beyond istorya.net.

Ok, I know you were referring to the board software, i was just clarifying kay we did mention about SWs on my previous post - pero ang imong tubag bai mag conflict man sad bai sa imong gisullti, you have a life beyond iSTORYA just like ordinary members, its easy to resize pics and all the things you said previously...sa akong side sa pag suggest about auto resizing of pix, im giving both sides a favor.
Sa members - dili na sila mabadlungan sa mga mods nya dili magkagubot tungod sa image size.
Sa mga mods - gisulti na nako na dili na mo saput saputon kay naa na sad ang dagko kaayo na pics, nya you could spend more quality time sa inyoong so called "LIFE BEYOND ISTORYA"

if ang gi-hotlink na image dako gihapon, why not just put a URL link to the image, instead of posting the image itself?

let's not keep relying on the forum software to do all the work, the more transactions it makes the more bandwidth it takes. while yes, a jpg is worth about a thousand text but remember that the server also transacts with the other members, which also take up bandwidth. while the server is resizing your hotlinked image, it is taking some bandwith from the other users as well. multiply this at least a hundred times...well, you get the idea.

to give you an idea how much this site takes up bandwith, for this month alone, it has taken up 19 million hits from around the world. and take note, that is only for the month of May.

OK, but the code that was posted above by the author of this thread, which i assume is gone kay guest naman lang iyang name didto...(gi ban or gi delete man tingali, di ba dili man pwede ka post guest?)does not even go beyond 1KB in size...thats roughly 1000 characters right? correct me if im wrong...so adding those few text lines wont hurt i think... besides this is a paid site right? so unlimited ang bandwidth di ba?

also if the code is written well, it should only deal with what the posters post, it edits what the posters posted, say if an image tag is used, the code will add the tag that will resize the pic and thats it, the next time the poster wants to edit his post instead of seeing what he originally posted, ang iyang makita is his post with added tags for resizing...it doesnt have to deal with the individual member logging in because it is the code that was posted that will be chaged. Physically so to speak...

to tell you the truth, its hard to please everybody biya, and we cannot customize the forum to your individual preferences.

It is, i understand...pero at least bai we have to look into avoiding conflicts nalang by doing something for the sites improvement, which i know has happened...pero the improvement is still, kumbaga wa kaayo impact pa sa kasagarang mga members, one thing i noticed that i dont have o log-in in case sensitive characters(say akong registered login is "the KG", next time i lo-in, i could just use "the kg"), so helpful ni sa mga arte kaayo na mga members sa ilang log-in names nad daghang change case sa ilang characters like example "MoDeRaToRs" - example ra ha..unsa diay ni na feature? sa site ra ni or sa tibu-ok phpBB?

why do we keep saying that if you don't like the rules just leave? because in most probability, the reason nga gi-close ang ilang thread or gi-move ang thread was because wala sila ni basa sa rules sa forum, unya sila pa ang isog magreklamo. ngano gi-move, ngano gi-lock or ngano gi-delete.
