I think their king will have to intervene with this matter. Thais have very high regard with the king. As what the Philippine Ambassador to Thailand said this morning in an interview, this might be over and done with in a week, hopefully.

    OT @ iSTORYADOR ....

You guys already tried everything you can IMAGINE of .

    - IMPEACHMENT ( basura )
    - COUP ( not enough BALLS to push it )
    - RALLIES ( giliguan sa bumbero )
    - ANTI PGMA CAMPAIGN ( lots new accounts were made already )

After all these years , after all the dramas , after all the " DILI MADAWAT ang KAPILDIHAN sa ELECTION .... where is PGMA ?

Now back to the topic ... ive heard over the news , THAILAND right now is in a state of MARTIAL LAW .

Governments around the world have condemned this coup. Even majority of Bangkokians do not support it. Travel advisories have been issued against Thailand. The Thai baht has fallen to its lowest in three years and so has the stock market too. Even those who were against Thaksin Shinawatra are now against the coup. An economic professor at Chulalonkorn University said that she "kind of supports the ouster of Thaksin, but hopes that a civilian government will be restored the soonest possible..."

As Mr. Zafiri of Human Rights Asia said a while ago in BBC, "there's no doubt that Thaksin was a corrupt leader and committed human rights abuses, but to engage in extra-legal measures is far more worrisome given the record of the Thai military..."

A lot of people might say -- especially those who are in favor of having a coup in the Philippines -- that it was worth it but then again such a measure is a show of how a power hungry person overthrows the one currently in power. As of now, the Army Chief of Thailand is the new Prime Minister and I bet he will forever remain its prime minister until maybe, another coup will be staged against him just like what happened in the late 80s.

So far, Thailand has over 17 coups.
