labor unions could not guarantee a good working environment. often times, it could do more harm than good. that's what my parents have told me

Default what happened to the union?

    has the union started already?

well, i have worked in a call center but i resigned... i have respect to myself, and no way American bosses could treat my humanity just like that, serving americans, talking to us like we are a piece of nothing, even if we did tried our best to be of service to them,,, that is just plainly suicide..

where was the fight of our beloved heroes in the past? trying to break free and not to be enslave by other race, and here we are we can't even speak out for ourselves accepting with open arms the bitterness of this inconvenience, suicidal just because of the high pay?

i think someone's gonna do something, and this something should be right...
    or God help Philippines...
we don't know who we are anymore,,,

    mas maayo kung wala..
coz samok ra na ug it would not attract investors..

if you feel being abused. resign!
Find a better one..then report the company to DOLE

on the other hand.. nindot naa union if stable na ang Pilipinas
so far.developing pa ta...so pugung sa ta...

Pag naa nata katungod maghawud hawud versus international competition
    Go...

Karon pa itoy sa ta..atoa sa paunan ning mga langyaw mag invest
kay in the future...we will take over!

Agree totally with the above poster!

This is what I will never understand. If employees are unhappy at work because of so-called "bad practices" then why, instead of leaving and working for another company where they can have an enjoyable career, do they stay and cause trouble? Is that not ungratefulness? You are not obligated to work at that company and can leave anytime you want, and companies should not be obligated to run their affairs the way rank and file employees want. As you are not a manager, you have no business dictating to companies how they are run. This is why our country is a mess and the laughing stock of Asia. Employees, majority of whom have no business or common sense, or any brain matter beyond their station whatsoever, feel as though they have the right to force management to do what they want. The result? Close down of business, loss of jobs. Sila ra gihapon ang luoy.

Singapore and the United States have very liberal pro-business laws and they can hire and fire anybody anytime and are model capitalist, progressive nations. That is why they are a success and our country is a joke. In the few industries where they allowed unions to flourish, such as the car industry, we are all too aware already of the disaster that happened to those American companies, swallowed up and spat out by their Japanese competitors because unionized Ford and GM have lazy, unproductive workers who nearly caused the bankruptcy of the U.S. itself.

I could list all the companies that have been brought to the brink of bankruptcy by lazy unions, majority of which are run by mafia-like cartels (such as the Mendozas of ALU here) who don't really care about employees but only about themselves. This includes PAL, British Airways, etc etc. Unions are bullshit because they try to usurp the role of management even though they are obviously not capable and lack the business sense to make such decisions. As such, they disobey a hierarchy that is either divinely ordained (if you believe in God) or Darwinian wherein the intelligent shall direct the less intelligent. The very existence and idea of unions therefore are an insult to both nature and God and the result is always a disaster and greater poverty as is only right and well-deserved.

So again I ask, if so unhappy there, why stay? Use your feet and gtfo of there!
