Ang rason wa cya ma hire kay lain2x iyang tubag.
1st he answer single cya
2nd he answer nga naa cyay ka live-in
If interviwon gani, dapat naa kay sakto ug related imong tubag, ayaw pag.lain2x ug tubag kay minus points kaau na..
+INNOCENTE+
there are lots of companies in the phils who still discriminate. they have their reasons, like for example, mas ganahan cla mag hire sa mga single lang k wla kaau hassle or something like that.
last time i applied sa law firm handling collections and believe it or not, they didn't hire me because i spoke more english than the interviewer... pagka nalng!
I did technical support on an HR forum once and Virginia was mentioned.
It turned out that there were more than 10 cases of violence among employees in virginia that is related to having a live in partner, maybe this is the reason why Virginia prefers a single or married status for their employees. I don't blame them though, it turns out that a lot of violence in the blue collar job environment involves shaky relationship with live in partners, take for example the stabbing in ayala supermarket that happened last year (or the previous year... I can't remember)
I personally consider this is as a form of discrimination however I also think that their decision does make sense.
uPON SIgning the form handed over by the HR rep, there were only two tickboxes sa status which is single and married...so asa man unta diay dapat iyang gicheckan?
He believed single siya...I too believes he can't be considered married because he doesn't have any papers to support it. Marriage is a legal thingy...right? so it should have papers...ma-question sad unya why married iya gitubag then dili man diay siya kasado...
may unta ug naay "IT'S COMPLICATED" kay basin mao pa iyang pilion.harhar!!
I think it has nothing to do with the way he answered but with the fact that he is in an non-marital affair.
Thanks for all your opinions... I was just so pissed off knowing some companies are practicing this discrimination that I started this thread...
much as he would want to file a complaint about this company... the HR rep did not tell it right in his face that that was the reason why he was denied. As I've said he was even told to come back the day after. But that day when he was asked to come back, the HR Rep asked someone to relay the message that they are not hiring anymore. But another person told my friend that he spoke with the interviewer asking why he was turned down and was told about the "live-in thing".
SO he can't sue because of lack of evidence... and he is afraid that if his neighbor would testify, his neighbor might end up loosing his job duha na nuon silang jobless...paets!
unfair na oi.naunsa na gud.apil na sa qualification?
naa pa di lear krn?
