Karun pa mo nakahibaw nga mabu-ak gayud ang moral compass ni Anakin? Whoa! You guys are truly virgin viewers. Unspoiled, undefiled being pure before seeing the movie.![]()
I've known this since 1999 or after I saw RETURN OF THE JEDI that Anakin will turn bad :P
All kidding aside, I knew that you guys knew this stuff already when you saw STAR WARS A NEW HOPE, but if you guys reacted this way during Order 66, then Lucas's work definitely results in ROTS.omg yeaaaah! i even cried when u knoe.. d jedi's were kileld 1 by 1 .. broke my heart too! hahahaha... sad part
as what i have posted in the other topic..."IT'S by far the best of the three Star Wars prequels. Thank you George for thirty years of great entertainment!...watch it or forever hold your peace...:P nakakuha pa gyud mi ug free posters and M&M...
baratoha gud emall.. 130 man sa ayala gabi-e tsktsk... anyway now the story is complete.. palit namo dvd para collection and balika ug tan-aw from Episode I to VI
The movie's opening is probably the best space battle of all the six films. With some comic relief from an audacious Artoo Detoo, watch how he torches the Battle Droids.
What's disappointing is that Lucas has cut the scene where Obi-Wan shows his compassionate concern for both Anakin and Padme, that in the script when Kenobi says "I won't tell the Council." In a movie where evil is most persuasive, it would have been better if there were hints of "compassion" making one "more powerful than any Sith". Yes that last quote unquote I said there - it has been chopped off with Lucas's NLE too.
McGregor's performance as the General Jedi is decent, likewise Samuel L. Jackson does his best to portray the ill-fated Mace Windu. Portman's performance leaves somewhat a little more to be desired. Hayden portrayed the fallen hero just right as he smiles from power lust at Padme. "I don't know you anymore", Padme replies.
Great visuals, like the pan that reveals HUNDREDS of Star Destroyers in orbit. No, not the pan down after the opening crawl. Just see the film, and you'll see what I mean.
There couldn't be any other starmaking performance from Ian McDiarmid other than in SITH. When his face shrivels, his voice changes into that of the evil Emperor or how he always sounds like under his guise of Sidious in the previous films. But when he plays possum, you see a him pretending to be a helpless old man, and he does this so convincingly it looks as if the Sith Lord must have had experience in theater or the actor's studio. But when he tells Anakin that they will discover the secret of cheating death, he just breathes out evilly-sounding whispers. And when he says that the Sith will rule once more and there shall be peace, he does it in a sadistic tone; he has finally accomplished his mission after more than a decade of deceit serving as a Senator, and later on a Chancellor in the Republic while puppeteering the weak Trade Fedaration Viceroy's and causing revolt between them and the Separatists.
John Williams's score has helped a lot in the "Order 66" sequence as the Jedi in different systems of the galaxy are exterminated by the Stormtroopers. Bail Organa yells NO! as a Jedi youngling falls while bravely trying to parry some blaster attacks of the clones.
Also see the stunning transportation from the Emperor's basement throne room as Yoda confronts the treacherous Sith after effortlessly - Force apprehending his red guards. They are elevated onto the galactic Senate. The very same rotunda where he manipulated Queen Amidala into voting off the Chancellor Valorum who preceded him in the position. The very same Senate where he deceived everyone by saying he would lay down his emergency powers upon the abation of the crisis.
In the duel with Sidious and Master Yoda, you will hear A HERO FALLS very beautifully married to some cues of DUEL OF THE FATES. Both these tunes you can hear at the duel in Mustafar and in the Senate.
When Darth Vader is transformed into the masked half-machine half-man, Williams revives the "Qui-Gon's funeral" music. And familiar music from the original trilogy, particularly from A NEW HOPE to help bridge the gap -- hear them in scenes like Bail Organa happily introducing the baby girl to his wife... and in the final scene in Tattooine.
This is definitely up there with Episode 4, and Episode 5. With very strong story dynamics and a surehanded narrative footing Episode 3 takes us back to A NEW HOPE. Unless the series is being viewed chronologically by someone who is new to the saga.
Sith is definitely a see-and-see again flick. A -
Some minor details
I love the terrified look Christopher Lee gives to Count Dooku when both his wrists are severed. "GOOD" chimes Palpatine in a similar intonation we've heard from Return of the Jedi
-Obi Wan doesn't say "I trained the Jedi who killed Count Dooku" to Grievous.
-I like the music when Anakin meditates in the Council Chamber juxtapoused with scenes of a lonely Padme in the sunset.
- You can barely see the "sun" in Mustafar it's covered with the smoky-clouded sky of the volcanic planet.
- Despite my rooting for a performance that could have been better from Portman, I love her bitter look as she and Bail Organa watch Sidious declare himself Emperor and reorganize the Republic.
- Anakin's premonitions are shown, but they are "clouded" dreams, at least we won't mistake him for jacking off to his mother this time.
- Yes Palpatine does shriek and roar as he flips over and dashes to take out the three Jedi and Mace Windu. It wasn't just a sound effect added for the full trailer
nice story unta...pero the director ( GL ) could have done better!
He shouldn't have cut Qui-Gon Jinn's voice scenes from the movie when he communes with Yoda as a specter...
Lucas could have done better with Natalie Portman's performance, but he isn't a director's actor, so screw his acting coach...
but I have no complaints about the action, the pacing and the scoring of the 2nd half of the movie...
Watch that part when Yoda is almost taken down by laser fire as he watches the battle rage on in Kashyyk![]()
