Cebu City Hall to buy planes?

This move could go either way. The intention is for the good, in my opinion, but mas maau kun helicopter nalang ilang paliton kai it can virtually land anywhere as long as space is available for the chopper to maneuver and land. The plan is to use them (planes) to reach remote places. One thing is a plane needs an airstrip to land and fly, making that airstrip is another thing.

Is this a good or bad way of using tax money?

CEBU City Vice Mayor Joy Augustus Young is interested in three old planes of the Department of Education (Deped), saying City Hall can use these for rescue operations.

He learned the agency, whose head office he recently visited, scheduled a bidding for their three planes in Nueva Ecija, on a cash and “as is, where is” basis. But Young wants to trade the planes for school building projects City Hall will pay for.

i think they will use it to travel.. not for rescue...

big trucks, choppers are good for rescue... not planes! hahaha...

The rain right now reminds me. Why not use the money for drainage system in Cebu, especially in the downtown area. It's quite funny kai ang mga public jeeps murag mudungo na sa gutter to get passengers.
