^ Hi, the corn snake is not venomous and actually very placid. They are extremely popular pets in USA and not at all dangerous unless you are a mouse. They do not grow to a large size unlike some pythons or boas and represent no threat to dogs or cats.
All snakes are capable of biting and could make you bleed, but from my experience this is very rare and generally happens accidentally when keepers forget to wash their hands after handling mice. This snake has never bitten me and can be handled with no problems, just be gentle and don't make sudden movements and the snake will happily chillout on your hand.
