@m!nyang: The cost depends on how much your dog weighs. For my 28 kilo dog, I give him .75 to 1 kilo of raw meat a day. Than for the veggies, I give him about 2 cups of utan per day. I do feed my dogs 2x a day (am and pm).

@bactro_ban: Here is the Homemade Yogurt recipe from the book by Dani Brown called The Whole Pet Diet.

1 quart cow or goat's milk
1 cup plain yogurt (this is your live culture)

Bring the milk to a full boil. Let it rise to the top of the pot, but don't let it boil over. Lower the heat and simmer until the milk reaches 110 degrees F, stirring frequently so a skin doesn't form on top. Mix 1 cup of the warm milk with the yogurt. Pour this mixture back into the pot of warm milk and mix well. Pour into a glass bowl and cover with a kitchen towel. Keep the yogurt in a warm place. Placing in an oven will work. A pilot light in the oven will usually keep it warm enough. Let the yogurt set for 6 to 8 hours, then store it in the refrigerator, where it will keep for about a week. Bring each serving to room temperature before serving.

usually for raw diets, you give your dogs equivalent of 3% (of their total body weight) of raw food a day.

so, if i do semi barf, would that cut the expense into half and also for preparing? hahahaha
