wireless router configuration

I have tried the config as per advice of AIROSUS, but there are i got slow browsing problem when i tried to ping my router (linksys wrt300N) from my laptop i ussually got a time-out error.

any comments please.

I would like to share, Interruption was caused by interference of the cellphone. This could be fixed by turning wireless router Roburst ON, so that, frequencies be enhanced, but sight range will be reduced.

naka try ko ug config ug linksys nga wirelless router, kusog man bro.. sa second floor nako gibutang nya ang sa 1st floor mana internet man, smart wifi man gani to ilang connection, ok raman, kay 3days na nako gi taod, wala pa man manawag about promblem, so.. wala jud to problema...

guys,need help,.here's the scenario.,got a broadband connection and i've got 3 pc's at home,.would it be possible to connect the other 2 pc's thru wireless router without changing your broadband connection to multi user?

use linksys routers lang for home use. its nice and easy to setup.

i agree with linksys....but if nag tipid jud..dlink will work just fine...
you can fine any other wireless router in cebu's major computer shops in ayala.
no need to mention the names of the shops.

no need to mention the names of the shops.

naa pay mas barato sa d-link bai, ang netgear diay kay mas barato bya. pero hinay lang kaayo...

mas barato ang netgear? sure ka? top one bya ang netgear sa cnet na ranking and sa pc guide na magazine mas mahal ang netgear :mrgreen: anyways linksys is ok. pero all wireless routers ang speed nila og range affected gyud sa ila environment. like if thick ra kaayo ang cement medyo hinay gyud sya and also if naa mga radio devices like walky talky <-- or cellphne lol affected sad sya. so bisan unsa pa na klase na wifi device if dili suitable ang environment useless yapon.

and for the setup its easy:

1. connect ur wifi router to ur PLDT or GLOBE router modem. (this is only applicable if ur router modem has some extra ports i think sa globe naa ingon ana) or (if u want na ang imo wireless router ang mo hatag internet sa imo mga pc)

2. then make sure na ang imo pc na nka wifi naka AUTO obtain ang IP since tanan na wifi device NAKA DHCP server na sila daan.

3. after that u check the ip of the connected pc and check the gateway. THE GATEWAY IP of the connected pc is the IP of the wifi router.

4. then access the control panel of ur wifi router.

5. in the WAN setup click "Automatically obtain IP through DHCP" or look for something similar to that. (this will make ur wifi router get the ip through dchp from ur PLDT OR GLOBE MODEM)

6. then set ur security settings and etc.

7. ENJOY UR WIFI :mrgreen:
