    Before you let go of your harsh words, I advise you to know the whole story first before arriving to your conclusion, maybe that would be a great help! I did not blame my attendant for what happened. I was glad that nothing violent happened to him. I never put person in my business who's not reliable and that guy your talkin is my cousin. He knows everything from software to hardware architecture of my ICAFE. Its just that the robber is more wiser than him that it made him believe that the Inspector was really real one. He almost took my HDD but fortunately my HDD was bolted side by side on the chasis.

    Thanks their bro, I didnt blame my attendant, I was helping him out to remember the suspect's face so that I can make complaint to the authorithies. Im hoping that this thread would help out istoryans especially those who owned ICAFE be aware of this kind of foolish activity.
    @esc
    nice idea you got their bro :mrgreen:

    kana bai estudyante ra nang trip ang mga ing-ana. it's not the first incident and it won't be the last.

    @Teban2006
    Regarding the serial number thingy? Di man gani madakpan ang kanang cell nga kinawat nga obvious kaayo na. Pila nalang kaha nang mem that nobody even bothers to check.

    @vrad
    If your cousin is knowledgeable in the hardware, how come wa siya kabantay nga gikuha na ang mga ram? Wasn't he with the guy the whole time? I would consider the fact that this guy was good with his fingers but definitely taking something from the pc in a very cofined place would definitely be too obvious. I'm really impressed at how this guy pulled it off. Hell, it takes AT LEAST more than a minute or so to get inside a single unit alone!

    ok Il post it here this evening coz im still in the ofis, Il post it here atleast to make everyone aware of the stolen RAMs.
    @tokidoki
    its a long story bro, i was also amazed how the robber did get his hands on the RAMs, if you were in his place not knowing what would happen, you would have done the same also, i bet this man is a professional swindler. FYI, SUSPECT's MODO's. Remeber that BSA's together with the NBI make a random check up of on every establishment for pirated software. This is what the suspect is taking advantage, inpersonating the authorities like they we're the real one.

    You should have asked for identification. By that time, most conventional crooks will crack. By the way you told me what he said to you, you should have already known that he was up to no good. And BTW, what an incredibly stupid excuse. Why would someone from the government inspect your workstations to check if the voltage was fine? He might as well checked all your wallclocks and your wristwatches to see if the battery's voltages were fine.

    Lessons learned, but at a high price.

    @vrad03: perhaps, but common sense would tell me you don't have to open the computer to see pirated software. heheeh... LIke you said, long story. It's probably an incident I will never see in my lifetime. At least everyone is aware of this now. God knows, if ako pa tong nagbantay sa cafe nya nakasakop ko, that could would not make it to the front door alive!

    @cebutech: di sab siguro, bai. I'd rather keep more watch on a gov't person than a thief, which ironically could be one and the same person in our country. LOL. Ang gov't mailhan man. ang kawatan dili. :P

    it was not I who was in the situation,it was my cousin(age 17). That was really a stupid excuse that my cousin didnt notice, maybe the scum bag made a mere perfect tactic that made my cousin believe that he was from the gov't. Dili lang jud ta aware na naana diay pangilad na nahitabo at the moment na wala ta mag expect.
    @tokidoki
    The issue was not about the pirated software its about how the suspect made the "pirated software investigation of the gov't" a perfect timing to execute their modo's and ride on with it. I suggest if you were the attendant you better let go of the scumbag than to risk your life for just a thousand peso unless if your fully loaded with firearms then it would be a great advantage. Huwag mo ipag palit ang 1 Peso mo sa 1 Centavo! That's a lot of difference.
