Unlocking the 4th core in Phenom II X2 550 BE

I already unlocked it guys. Hehehehe.

All i had to do was use an older BIOS (3/18/09).



It really does work with the ECS A790GXM-AD3.

Whenever I turn on the ACC it wouldn't POST. So i had to turn off the PC an reset CMOS. I had to do this twice until finally it did POST. hehehehe.

Hardware Monitor wouldn't show any readings so I had to use the Everest and my CPU temperature is running at 34 degrees at idle. When full it's 45 degrees.

hmmmm when i use AMD overdirve it shows 123 degrees celcius on my TMPIN3! 100 degrees is boiling point...and so why isn;t my mobo fried yet?

@blizzaga: same thing happened to my unlocked AMD Phenom FX-5000, dili sya makaread sa temp per core pero ma read niya ang temp sa CPU.

No need to worry bro oi ok pa ang temp ana imo proc. hehe.

because the new BIOS(es) do not unlock cores as per AMD's instruction, gigabyte would have been a better board for unlocking cores.

sakto gyud ka bro..naa ko isa ka rig..gigabyte ga785GT-UD3H..pair nako amd 550be..unlocked and 100% stablerun prime 95 overnight..no restart,no bluescreen..

well it's been a few weeks already and it's quite stable....
Idle temp: 36 deg
Full load temp: 49 deg

@blizzaga4 unsa imo mobo gamit ani bro..suya ko..bag-o lng jud ko ni switch sa amd platform.. akong mobo kay MSI 785gt-e63 og phenom II x2 555be...unsay steps sa pag unlock..wala pasad ko ni try kay im still on stock HSF...pero gigil na kaau ko pag kita nako sa ACC option sa bios..

enable lang ang acc and if gamit nimo ang old na bios enable pud ang EC firmware.

wahhh... mao ni nahitabo sa ako bro... after setting ACC to auto d mo post, so ni give up na lng ko kai basin guba jud ang 4th core sa, athlon x3 440 lng ako procie.... so ako na lng g reset ang bios nya wa na nako suwayi ug balik.... after reading this murag nakafeel ko gamay pag asa dah! ahahahahaha ako na sad nya suwayan!
