    It's another lens. Most useful as a portrait lens since the f1.8 can provide a shallow DOF. Therefore you can take images which have the subject in focus and the background completely blurred out.

    Also the f1.8 wide aperture allows you to shoot in dim lighting without the use of flash.

    Prime lenses is a good learning tool for you to improve your composition. Since you yourself would have to move rather than use the zoom setting of your lens in order to get the best angles and vantage points. Over time this will become instinctive.

    pero later on your photography life maka-realize ka nga

    (1) kinahanglan ka mopalit ug wide lens ky puro ra ulo imo mapicturan sa group shots
    (2) kinahanglan pod ka ug telephoto zoom lens ky murag hulmigas imo mga kuha if naa sa layo ang subjects
