hehehe, it does interest me. Its like bisyo bro. Why would you go istorya if u think walay ayo! Why would you smoke when u know its not healthy.

    Kewl! Indeed! apir!
I'm just refering to the SSR image posted, but if you want some links about LEDs used in DATA processing just see this.
LED and photo-diode for optical links, by WT&T Inc - optics.org

It is used in communication like fiber optics.

Yup, mas dagko ni compared sa mga contacts ug mas reliable pani ang SSR sa mga fast switching application.

I don't see this as SSD. It is a device to relay information, but not emulates as a storage.

A solid-state drive (SSD) is a data storage device that uses solid-state memory to store persistent data. An SSD emulates a hard disk drive interface, thus easily replacing it in most applications.

sorry bro, your link about SSD is not storage, as what we are trying to imply. Its about the claim that SSD uses optical mechanics to retrieve data, not to relay signal.

Yea I am not aware if there are any.

You don't see any? but how about you're CD ROM it uses optical device to store or read data.

well, in that case! You might be right... (not sure!)

SSD are terms created for data sorage devices that are compact. that is why it is solid state because everything is solid no mechanical component. IMO. If that is what you believe, its ok, i cannot also find an information that its not SSD either.

Bro, I think this is wrong that SSD created for data storage devices that are compact. Yup, it is used for data storage but it is not mainly used for it. Sa wala pa na ang mga compact drives, flashdrives etc. naa na na ang SSD.

    Thanks,

    There are two misconception here:

    SSD Means: SOLID STATE DRIVES.
A solid-state drive (SSD) is a data storage device that uses solid-state memory to store persistent data.

    not SOLID STATE ELECTRONICS.
Solid-state electronics are those circuits or devices built entirely from solid materials and in which the electrons, or other charge carriers, are confined entirely within the solid material.

my bad, first post said SSD when in fact it means Solid State Electronics. Readers' take note.
