* i've checked the length of the card, it is 9.5inches and my case (lancool dragonlord pck62) supports 11+ inches so its a go.
* i've checked the power requirements it is 500w with 2x 6pin power connectors recommended, nothing mentioned about the amperage. my power supply gigabyte odin pro is 550w and has quad 12v rails @18amps each. and from what i've checked, i think the 5850 consumes less power at idle but consumes more power at load compared to my current card 8800gt. do you think this will be enough with my current power supply?
* lastly naa pud koy nabasa sa usa ka forum nga his 5850 mag stutter ang frames with windows xp pero pag change niya to windows 7 na solve ra. kinsa diri gagamit ani nga card 5850 with windows xp? ok raba? coz dili pa raba ko ganahan mag switch ug os, windows xp pa ako gamit.

i would prefer 25amps each rail sa imong new 5850. para dili mag sigi ug 100%load ang imong PSU kay that causes decrease in lifespan.

meaning apiki ni ako gamit nga 4 rails at 18amps each? sayangan mangud ko mu upgrade ug psu, kaning mga tag-as ug amps samot nato decathlon nga single rail at 60amps mga mahal kaayo oi, di jud makaya. heheh... Originally Posted by limes
