Hahaha lisod if imong akoon tanan. Broad ang coverage sa Sys Ad. But if you'll start to which you can immediately apply, much better. Best of all you should be good in areas you are inclined with. When things like EXCHANGE, DNS, VPN, GATEWAYS, ROUTERS and etc comes in, ayha na dayon pagtoon para walay masayang nga oras.

Build up experience... acquire certifications such as RHCE/MCSE/CCNA...

You must also have extensive knowledge in UNIX/LINUX Systems kay most system servers karon, linux na...

Your job as a systems admin does not only end on network infra, hardware, servers, security. But also what is ahead in the trend, how can you apply it to your present infrastructure...

buildup lang ug experience, ayaw pamili sweldo and of course (I started as a technician w/ 100.00 peso a day salary for 3 months), while at work, continue learning... (I remember one time, hangyo sa ako previous boss ug assemble usa ka PC, kay naa ko gi experiment sa DEBIAN)

Kanang kugihan nga tapolan nga quality (computer programmer).
Kugihan nga mangita ug pamaagi aron ma automate ang mga processes nga magbalikbalik lang.
Fast learner and open minded. Dali makakita ug pamaagi, dili mag panic labi na sa panahon sa crisis. Labaw sa tanan kasaligan ug naay baroganan. Prevention from software/hardware failures is one of your primary objectives. Naa na kay plan A, plan B ug plan C when things don't fall to your expectations. Systems administrators are systems managers, management and leadership skills is nice to have.

Makamao ug nakasabot sa "inner workings" sa hardware ug software. Kamao ug pang long term ug cost effective nga solutions sa trabaho. Swerte kaayo ka kay naa nay open source projects karon. Certifications are nothing compared to real life problem solving experiences. You can't be an instant systems administrator, it is a journey.
