it's surprising how SWU has the lowest passing rate but has the most top notchers. kinda makes it hard to determine which school is the best.

Thanks, I'll do my best to give my future pts quality nursing care.![]()
Its actually not difficult to determine... Its usually the one who has the higher passing rate... People go to nursing schools to become nurses not top notchers, so naturally they will decide, if they have the means, to go to the school that will give them a better chance of becoming one... If you have to chose which school you are going to send your kid, will you choose SWU over CDU?Originally Posted by Luthienne

If you go to CDU with a 92% passing rate if you FAIL... Then you can say NASIPYAT KA..
If you go to SWU with 49% passing rate and you PASS... Then you can say NAKATAGHAP Ka...Just kidding...
Im not from CDU btw.. But with 49% passing rate, it goes to show that you have a better chance of failing than passing in SWU and vice versa for CDU.
I dont know much about the nursing school situation and I never studied at USC, but what surprises me is USC's passing rate, USC and SWU are fighting it out neck to neck in the last place category... I though USC is one of the better schools out there...
Dont worry, most of these nurses go to western countries where they are treated more fairly and humanely with good salary, and not those god forsaken countries like Lebanon where they treat our Heroes less than humans and more like dogs....Originally Posted by Viktor
In the news today, several institutions are hesistant in hiring Batch '06 who took the board last June 2006 due to the leakage..
... that would be the expected aftermath of this scandal. if i were PRC, i would have everybody, the 45,000 RETAKE the board exam. Cause it's hard to pin-point who benefited from the leakage.Originally Posted by arnoldsa
ummmm... I'm not sure with regards to the June 2006 exam.. but when we all took the December 2005 exam, we had a very high passing percentage (CNU was number one in Cebu and second in Philippines, CDU came in only second or third in Cebu, and I think 4th sa Phils.).. And we were all BSN-HAP, no firsttaker undergrad took the exam last December. The only undergrads who joined us were those who failed in the June 2005 exams, around six of them.Originally Posted by scylla
This was the reason why CNU offered a second batch of BSN-HAP because of our exemplary performance last December (which the school officials did not expect). This second batch started last May and will probably take the board exam two years from now.
With regards to CDU having a high percentage in the board exams, it's because they have this pre-board thing. Those who fail in the pre-board are discouraged from taking the actual board exams. Someone even told me that the papers are put on hold just to make sure that those who failed will really not take the exam. In other schools, fail or not in the pre-board, they still leave the decision to the student whether to take the actual board exam or not.
