mas maayo distilled water nalang gamita bro its the safest.mas maayo kung d na nimo butangan additives or water solution or diri pa sa ato"coolant"..actually sakto term man unta ana is additives dili coolant..kay sa gawas coolant is d water na gi palce nimo sa radiator.downside sa additives causes metal fatigue usahay dili lagi tayon pero iya na pud kutkuton ang metal..but anyways mas gwapo jud sa metal especially sa aluminum ang distilled kay wala ni mineral dat causes scaling.. absolute, wilkins,og kana mga suwat distilled water na pwede mainom pwede na.ay lang mineral kay naa pa na cya mineral nahibilin.tried nako sa newly rebuilt nako na engine pag 2004 ako gisugdan distilled lang jud. nya pag 2009 pagabli namo balik para change valves..perteng sinawa gyapon sa thermostat og agian sa tubig asta waterpump wa jud trace of corrosion or scaling..mura brand new gyapon..

check nako. distilled ba to. mura ra man fillered water gamit nako. kanang refilling station. naka coolant naman gud ako pick up. nahutdan lang jud ko og coolant. naka limot lang jud ko unsa gamiton.

It depends. I use a 60% coolant and 40% distilled water ratio. Coolant increases the boiling point of water, so having a 60/40 ratio makes sure the water doesn't boil over. Boiling water turns to gas which increases the pressure in the cooling system which could eventually lead to a blown water hose or some other cooling system part.

We have no use for anti-freeze here so Prestone will do. Most expensive coolants have anti-freeze properties which have no use in our climate. As pointed out by others above, impurities decrease the boiling point and leave mineral deposits, the white stuff you see when frequently heating water. Mineral water, even bottled ones are no exception. To be safe, use only distilled water. The deposits decrease the efficiency of the radiator as this impedes the dissipation of heat which will naturally lead to overheating.

I would not advise using pure distilled water only. The water will boil eventually in long distance travel which as stated, will evaporate to gas and again lead to an over-pressurized system and overheating. Use distilled water also in your washers as mineral deposits in the water clog and destroy washer pumps.

This way, all the iron oxide residing in your cooling system will be converted into iron phosphate, mas stable nga state sa iron, ug di na mopadayon pa ug taya nga maoy hinungdan nga mabuslot ang head gasket nga made of steel. Nabuhat na ni nako ug clear ang tubig sa akong radiator all the time, no more rusts or iron oxide.

Kanang taya sa puthaw or iron oxide, mag sige lang gyud na ug katag for as long as naa pay iron ug oxygen from air or water sa iyang palibot.

    Caution:
I am not saying this is a must for you to do. It is possible kini nga pamaagi dili compatible sa imong cooling system kay lahi ang imong materials gigamit or lahi ang design sa imong cooling system. I strongly suggest you also do some research and do some thinking about sa imong cooling system gigamit before taking my suggestion. One thing for sure, it works well on a Nissan Sentra.

what happens if mas daghan ang prestone coolant compare sa distilled water and mabutang sa radiator..ing ani man gud nahitabo...ang 1 gallon nga coolant na una nakog butang sa radiator kay i was thinking nga 6 liters capacity...pagyabo nako sa coolant napuno man nuan ang radiator...atots kau...unsay possible mahitabo ani mga expert nga bossing...tambagi kuno ko please!!

Same question here. I would like to know what would happen as well.

50:50 man ang usual ratio sa concentrated coolant and water. A kind of Alcohol+anti-rust-kuno ra man nang coolant, just to raise the boiling point of water and to lower the freezing point.

akong i check bro...naa raman gud to sa balay ang gallon...so dili ra ni maka unsa sa sakyanan..so far karon wala pa man ko nabantayan...akoa lang ba, in the long run...unsay dangatan....thanks kau boss vernie!!!
