Who is upgrading to Intel Core 2 Duo(perviously known as Conroe)????

Core 2 Duo availability that is the major problem...... august or september pa mag ship.....

you dont seem to get the point my advice was stating in waiting for the 2nd gen of DX10 cards which means roughly 6~8 months after the first batch of DX10cards are released MS doesnt plan for DX11 or WGF 3.0 soon.. its not even listed in their plans until 2009, im not advicing and endless waiting please understand the statement b4 making comments. Altho MS is planning for DX9L

As for the avalability of Conroe a very trusted ( but confidential source ) informed me that Philippines will not be left out ( but we wont get our stocks on july 23rd yet maybe somewhere July 30 or Aug 4), Malaysia is actually near Ph and thats where most of our Intel chips come from. Also these are the prices he gave me but these are un-offical yet but atleast we get the rough idea.

E6300 1.8Ghz 2mb 1066mhz = 10,XXX+
E6400 2.13Ghz 2mb 1066mhz= 13,XXX+
E6600 2.40Ghz 4mb 1066mhz= 18,XXX+
E6700 2.67Ghz 4mb 1066mhz= 29,XXX+

anything can happen especially if there are new applications or softwares that will come out.......

but in any case always settle for the middle ground..... not the lates and also not the oldest technology.......

MS offically renamed the DX series into WGF, as for the sources a simple reading on the net tells you that no plans for the next DX yet in sometime.. also take note how long DX8.0 lasted b4 DX9.0 came out.
Im not saying getting the DX10 2nd generation card means get the latest.It means wait for the 2nd and get what ever you can afford on the 2nd generation of DX10 cards. anyway this is already completely off topic if you need DX10 info start another thread for it anyway.

unya na upgrade basta imo ganahan na games dili kasukol sa imo current rig... ako aging K7 2500+ ug TI 500 64 MB ok pa mn japon.... so when the time ang command and conquer morelease ug new game unya dili na kasupprt ako current rig, maybe mao na time to upgrade my system 5 yrs from now..

well with 2nd generation dx10, dx11 won't be that far..... dx10 or wgf..... its just nomenclature...... what follows 10 is 11.......

anyways

i think core 2 duo would be a great upgrade next year......

supply issues are the main problem and some other problems with the motherboard.....

You did read that i posted 2nd generation cards come 6~8 months after the first generation comes out,maybe you dont really understand what 2nd generation means, take for example the X800 series ( first gen ) X1800 ( 2nd gen ) X1900 ( 3rd gen )

No offense tho,but not everyone wants to play at 640x480 with lowest detail and less than 20fps in the latest games.

OT: ok ra na bro sa ako, kay basin kana imo games dili pud na nko like, strategy type ra ako type ang single shooter person... command and conquer and alikes... sa single shooting pud doom3, battlefield is playable with my current rig... so in short 5yrs from now pako upgrade... ug magsegi upgrade waste of money lng na...

the results are really compelling.....

it consumes less power

and the performance can not be argued.....

problem is i can't use my DDR400 memory

my AGP card won't be useful also

so upgrading to a core 2 duo (not anymore conroe)

would require

a new motherboard

new video card

new memory....

damn have to save more money...............
