different products would fit different bodies, needs and preferences. would you prefer full body wetsuit (usually mas mahal) or shorty? naay uban mo dive di gani mag wetsuit. adjustable fins (usually mas mahal + booties) or closed type (no booties)? would you prefer an octopus regulator or not? ganahan ka ba naay imong dive computer (especially kun mag deep dive) or depend lang ka sa imong kauban? kun mag start ka gusto ka ba puro brand new tanan or pwede ra 2nd hand? ganahan ka bag accessories (like gloves, snorkel, branded gear bag etc) or stick to the essentials ra ba. these are some of the things nga maka affect sa budget.

in 2003 gi offeran kog bcd sa kong kaila nga course director tag 60K (used only once). nindot gyud nuon pero mahal. even karon maka palit kag brand new at much lesser price nga different brand and model.

Later nlng tingali nang other gadgets nga pang deep diving. Lisod na, makakita nya ta ug iho didto.,, ehehehe. Costly pud gyud diay ni nga hobby ang scuba diving sir sa, but I know for sure enjoy gyud kaayo ni.

@janmarco: mura kulangon na imong 20k for starter set sir, the BCD along can cost more than that, up to 3x as much, depende sa brand. wet suits could cost up to 5k, pero kon naa kay kaila nga mga instructors or dm pwede ka makapangayo ug discounts sa mga diveshops. a good dive mask could be as much as 2k, fins and booties between 5k-7k, pero kung ang jet fins imoha kay 10k na daan. regulators makuha ra tingali na around 10k, again depende sa klase. and if you want to be techie there's the dive PC which could cost also around 20k.

if you're planning on taking up scuba diving as a permanent hobby then by all means invest in your equipments, kay dile man pod ka magsige ug palit ana, it will take several years of usage before siya mo-deteriorate. but if you just want to try scuba diving for experience then i would suggest to just rent the equipments first. basin diay dile ka ganahan so mausik ra imong mga equipments

@divemaster, thanks for the info sir. Much better gyud diay nga mag rent na lang ug scuba gears if beginners like us would like take a dive and learn. Need also a DM like you first to teach us basic lesson's before going on a real dive. Still a long way to go before learning this hobby. Got to save a lot first.
