i think this is not a virus infection.
if virus pa ni, the partition wud still exist (but ), then files cud not be seen ( which is very easy to unhide anyways ).

this is another case of partition corruption which in many case, is caused by power fluctuation | interruption | sudden off while the disc is still being accessed.

but not much to worry ( hassle lang.time.effort and money ), the files can still be retrieved

i use avira sa ako desktop ug sa laptop. its free and buggy lang panagsa di mo update hinay siya wa ko kasabot ngano.

uu mao sad na sa ako di maka update usahay, pero we can do manual updates.

Diba external HD na siya, how about e try na nimo taod sa PC Desktop. Basin ang External Device ang daot ana.

try dw adto sa disk management bro f ma makita u ang k:,f makita try open then back up the files....booting system sa hdd ang prob ana

had checked the external drive

its a western digital mybook elements 250GB

partition killed by power fluctuation

had recovered the important files already ( overnight )

will be reformatting the hdd as a single partition tonight
