bossing, any canon camera model would do for a wedding pero kung naa ka sakto nga budget of course get a decent body/lens... ang importante is that you capture the emotions with a touch of art, dili pang pasa porte kay dili raba pwede ma re-shoot ang wedding... kinahanglan nga himantayon ka, hehehe

sa pagpamiktyur nako maski unsa nalang ang importante gyud nga desente ang body + lens (kuyog gyud ning duha)... sa lente: during the ceremony your best partner would be the 70-200 (2.8's) kay lisud kung magdagan-dagan ka para ma-duol sa imong subject, then kinahanglan pud ug wide angle para sa group pictorial.... then an 85mm (f1.2-f1. for portrait/isolation shots para drama (padungag sa pusta).... get also a decent card kay lisud kung mo-corrupt ug kalit ang card (patay kang bata ka!)... then attend workshops sa desente nga lugar ug dili lang bisag asa... start shooting with your friend's wedding and as a back-up photog para naay failsafe

sa akoa nga POV lang pud ni tanan akong gisulat boss.... there are alot of great photographers in here, they may know better than what I know.... lastly, when have the camera.... keep shooting

You have a very nice point bai, why does canon or nikon or sony have to make those expensive bodies and lenses if they knew all along that it's not about the camera that makes photos great, they should have invested more on training the photoghraphers rather than making those bodies if that's the case. Photographers make the best compositions and lightings but they don't make the best image quality.

I'd have to say buy the 50D bai. You can use any model. but again if you're talking about weddings you would want the "best" image quality, and you can achieve that with 5D up, but you're only up to 50D so 50D nalang jud.

And, take the advice from the previous posts, mga maayo jud na sila..hehehe..

Kung na ka money... buy 50d... if on a limited budget.... buy 500d

i suggest you buy a cheaper body and put on an medyo expensive lens... wide angle maybe para sa mga family/group shots after the wedding...

newbie sad ko... hope this helps...

salamat sa mga nag post. appreciate nako tanan inyo response.

gpcortes: salamat sa listahan. as i mentioned earlier, nalimot ko factor in sa lens which is in fact dako kaayo ug tabang. grabe ka hasol ang pag scour sa google just to find the info you just posted. big props to you bai.

recon25: sakto gyud na imo gisulti bro. naa koy kaila actually na naka 350D, pero na notice nako na mejo hinay mu focus ug naglibog ko gamay sa iyang menu hehehe. actually sa tinuod lang, ang ako gipilian jud is between the 40D and 50D. i was hoping lang jud na naay istoryan na wedding photographer using either para makahatg sa iyang insights on either body.

franzeno: thanks for the advice dude. yeh daghan bitaw maayo diri istorya. included na ka. i thought i saw a couple of your pics and they're really good.

phatwell: interesting advice with the wide angle. nakagamit ko ug ultrawide L lens sa akong friend pero i generally thought maayo lang sha pang landscape kay mejo ni warp na ang image sa sides. ill try to check sa ako migo and try group shots. thanks for the tip.

Best camera for you would be the one you can afford to pair with really good lenses. It all boils down to budget. Let's say your ceiling budget is the price of a 50D with a 18-55mmIS kit. This is around 70 to 72k I think. If you go for a 450D with 18-55mmIS kit lens (around 37 to 41k). You save around 30k(?) to spend on other important things like flash, better lens, spare battery, battery grip? and other stuff. I assume you're in a tight budget because of your first post.

How about buying 2nd hand gear and spend the extra savings on those Red ring lenses? There are plenty of good deals around in Buy and Sell forums.
