First time ive seen radeon with the same position pci power connectors as with gforce cards.
First time to see a card with a back retention plate.

I don't know about your guys, but I like the design a lot.
Minimalistic minus the usual 3d anime drawings.
I think this requires a huge case - i can see this generates a lot of heat.

Nvidia's limit has come to an end. And ATI's strategy of releasing conservative powerful cards payed off in the long run.
ATIs ROP has catched up with Nvidia. Oh and the 5870 is still at 256 bit memory interface. (Still conservative)

I think Nvidia's next GPU would just increase the stream processor count or increase the memory bandwidth to 1024 bit which is ridiculous.
