Yes! We have lots of members who are Liberal Catholics and we even have priests who are members ot the THEOSOPHICAL SOCIETY!

Remember the Theosophical Society is not a religion but rather a a venue for UNIVERSAL BROTHERHOOD where you SEEK and STUDY for UNIVERSAL TRUTH and WISDOM!

Even Atheists are welcome to the society!

The Theosophical Society was formed at New York on Nov. 17, 1875, and incorporated in Chennai (Madras), India, on April 3, 1905.

    Its three declared Objects are:

    1. To form a nucleus of the Universal Brotherhood of Humanity, without distinction of race, creed, ***, caste or color.

    2. To encourage the study of Comparative Religion, Philosophy and Science.

    3. To investigate the unexplained laws of Nature and the powers latent in man.

"Theosophy is the shoreless ocean of UNIVERAL TRUTH, LOVE and WISDOM reflecting its radiance on the earth, while the Theosophical Society is only visible bubble on that reflection. Theosophy is divine nature, visible and invisible, and its Society human nature trying to ascend to its divine parent."

Geoffrey Hodson, a theosophical writer, in his book The Hidden Wisdom in the Holy Bible, Vol. I, gives us excellent clues to the symbolic meanings of the Bible. One of his suggestions is that we look at many biblical passages not for historical information, but that we consider them as happenings within our lives.

Geoffrey Hodson (1886--1983) was an internationally known clairvoyant who spent more than sixty years as a lecturer for the Theosophical Society, speaking in America, Europe. South Africa, India, Australia, and the Far East. He conducted clairvoyant research, including first-hand investigations of the angelic evolution, in collaboration with medical professionals, physicists, anthropologists, and archeologists. He was awarded the Subba Row Medal in 1954 for his more than forty contributions to Theosophical literature.

THEOSOPHY is not a religion. The term has been used as an expression of the AGELESS WISDOM of LIFE that has existed since time immemorial and which may be found in the great spiritual traditions in the world. Its worldview is founded on UNIVERSAL ONENESS amidst apparent diversity, the reality of inner planes and inner laws of nature, and the existence of the path to SELF-REALIZATION and the attainment of each individual's HIGHEST SPIRITUAL POTENTIALS. As a way of life, it promotes UNDERSTANDING, UNITY, RESPECT for all RELIGIOUS TRADITIONS, COMPASSIONATE ALTRUSIM, ad the LIVING of the HIGHER LIFE.
