Usa ko sa contestants sa 5th CEbu WEB AWARDS not the 6th.....

wala koy challenge.. kani laging HTML ra.. ang uban flash.. then mostly sad ato flash nakadaug..... pildi ko ato.. huhuh

makita nimo unsa ka kacreative if you will use flash sa website....if static lang or html, it will be boring for the judges to look at...so kung naay flash imong website, ma-impress ang judges then dako chance nga makadaug....

judges are not hard coder, or w3c compliants...and i think web awards is not all about how you program the backend, its all about creativity...so i conclude nga maayo jud nga naay flash ang website...

It's safe to say that there should be a category for Flash-based websites. In that case, they can battle it out for the title of who's the best in Flash designing/programming. Flash should not be a necessity to win an award. Judges should know that.

if u were the judge...should you choose the website that is professionally done without any flash component? or a website that is also done professionally and with an eye-popping flash interface...

If that professionally done website is deserving, well, he has my vote.
That's if it has that neat, well-managed interface with balanced content, good color scheme, well-cropped and optimized images, loads well, css controlled, neat code and good usability. Sounds a lot?

If you were the judge, then I guess you'll go for aesthetics only.

I don't dislike Flash, in fact I use it. Sometimes, good & deserving html sites from other webdesigners are overlooked because of some sites with all the movements and animation going around. That should not be the case. That's what iskoLares stressed out regarding cebu web awards, html sites are no match for Flash.
