(NKJV) 1 Cor 6:9-10 "Do you not know that the unrighteous will not inherit the kingdom of God?" Do not be deceived, neither fornicators, nor idolaters, nor adulterers, nor homosexuals, nor sodomites, nor thieves, nor covetous, nor drunkards, nor revilers, nor extortioners will inherit the kingdom of God"

I respect your opinion, but i would like to contradict.

"Certain interpretations of the moral decisions in the Bible are considered ethically questionable by many modern groups. Some of the passages (generally ones related to Mosaic Law) most commonly criticized include the subjugation of women, religious intolerance, use of capital punishment as penalty for violation of Mosaic Law, sexual acts like incest although most types of incestuous relationships were told to be wrong after the events of Noah's flood, condemnation of homosexuality, alleged support for the institution of slavery in both Old and New Testaments, obligatory religious wars and the order to commit the genocide of the Canaanites and the Amalekites. Some religious groups support the Bible's decisions by reminding critics that they should be judged by the standards of the time and that Mosaic Law applied to the Israelite people (who lived before the birth of Jesus) but does not apply to Christians. Other religious groups, mostly conservatives, see nothing wrong with the Bible's judgments. Other critics of the Bible, such as Friedrich Nietzsche, have criticized the morality of the New Testament, regarding it as weak and conformist-oriented."

Considering the time, place in which the Bible was written, it is greatly influenced by the norms of that society. Remember, the bible is AUTHORED by GOD but WRITTEN by MAN, and is therefore subject to the writers' understanding of the message of the Holy Spirit and the norms of his current society.

    Take for example:
"I tell you that whoever puts away his wife, except for the cause of sexual immorality, makes her an adulteress; and whoever marries her when she is put away commits adultery." (Matthew 5:31)

So does this mean divorcees who remarry, and the people they marry all adulterers and should be punished for their sins? As written in the Bible, of course.

Or how about the GOLDEN RULE...
"You have heard that it was said, ‘You shall love your neighbor and hate your enemy. But I say unto you, Love your enemies, bless them that curse you, do good to them that hate you, and pray for them which despitefully use you, and persecute you."(Matthew 5:43-44)

    which is contradicted by...
"The Son of man goeth as it is written of him: but woe unto that man by whom the Son of man is betrayed! it had been good for that man if he had not been born." (Matthew 26:24)

My philosophy teacher once said that being a gay will not invalidate you to become a priest. But the thing that will invalidate a gay is his action as long as he is not an active homosexual then it is okay. My teacher was a priest and I was a former seminarian.

hello bro mau daghan nata dinhi

Well thats true before but now lets see what the church has to say

    FROM

    CONGREGATION FOR CATHOLIC EDUCATION

    Instruction
Concerning the Criteria for the Discernment of Vocations
with regard to Persons with Homosexual Tendencies
in view of their Admission to the Seminary and to Holy Orders

. Homosexuality and the Ordained Ministry

From the time of the Second Vatican Council until today, various Documents of the Magisterium, and especially the Catechism of the Catholic Church, have confirmed the teaching of the Church on homosexuality. The Catechism distinguishes between homosexual acts and homosexual tendencies.

Regarding acts, it teaches that Sacred Scripture presents them as grave sins. The Tradition has constantly considered them as intrinsically immoral and contrary to the natural law. Consequently, under no circumstance can they be approved.

Deep-seated homosexual tendencies, which are found in a number of men and women, are also objectively disordered and, for those same people, often constitute a trial. Such persons must be accepted with respect and sensitivity. Every sign of unjust discrimination in their regard should be avoided. They are called to fulfil God's will in their lives and to unite to the sacrifice of the Lord's Cross the difficulties they may encounter[8].

In the light of such teaching, this Dicastery, in accord with the Congregation for Divine Worship and the Discipline of the Sacraments, believes it necessary to state clearly that the Church, while profoundly respecting the persons in question[9], cannot admit to the seminary or to holy orders those who practise homosexuality, present deep-seated homosexual tendencies or support the so-called "gay culture"[10].

Such persons, in fact, find themselves in a situation that gravely hinders them from relating correctly to men and women. One must in no way overlook the negative consequences that can derive from the ordination of persons with deep-seated homosexual tendencies.

Different, however, would be the case in which one were dealing with homosexual tendencies that were only the expression of a transitory problem - for example, that of an adolescence not yet superseded. Nevertheless, such tendencies must be clearly overcome at least three years before ordination to the diaconate.

I think we are veering from the nature of the topic, myself included.

An answer the question "HOW DOES YOUR DENOMINATION, RELIGION or SECT respond to the issue of 3rd S*X?" can be found in the above statement.

"Such persons must be accepted with respect and sensitivity. Every sign of unjust discrimination in their regard should be avoided. They are called to fulfil God's will in their lives and to unite to the sacrifice of the Lord's Cross the difficulties they may encounter"

As a gay friend of mine said, "People cannot judge me, they have on right to judge me. In the end, only God has the right to judge me."

Not to metion the were 3 more inquisitions that followed (Portugese, Spanish, and Roman).

So are gay men and women lesser being because they do not comply to the norms of society, just like how the blacks were treated in American history?

I'm a full-pledged catholic, studied in a catholic school, and grew up with catholic parents. And I do not believe the being in the 3rd *** degrades you as a human being or as a child of God. "What makes a homosexual abnormal is when he rapes or molests children like what happened to many priests in the RCC!" - Heterosexuals are fully capable of these sort of acts and are not exempt in cases of fornication, sodomy (do not be surprised to know that straight men do actually sodomize women, and that's a FACT), having multiple partners, engaging in sadism, masochism, bondage, domination, pedophilia, and whatever sexual abhorrence there is out there. Face it people, you think homosexuals are dirty because in your minds, you unfairly and immediately relate them to the earlier mentioned. Wake up! The only thing differentiating homosexuals from heterosexuals is within their definitions - sexual preference.

The sin here is not homosexuality, it is the selfish and unrighteous discrimination of our brothers and sister who do not share the current norms of society. Ignorance does not excuse injustice. WE LIVE, WE LOVE, WE BLEED, WE DIE.
Yes I do agree with you!
