what is the difference from a step down transformer and an AVR with 110V.

daghan man difference bro...
most step down transformer ---higher wattage....meaning kasagaran mo start ug 1000 watts capacity
but there are some stepdown transformer nga 500 watts na karun
avr ---usually starts at 300 watts ....and current is controlled by ic if im not mistaken.....

I agree with you for the wattage thing. But what is the difference of a stepdown transformer of the TS with 350w and a AVR with say 350w pud. Are these the same? Why price is differ so much?
