Default All religious denominations should pay taxes

The Government should give "tax credits" if you donate money for your church.

churches are non-profit organizations? yes, kon ang members pasultihon. But raking in profits they are. who was it who said that religion is the world's biggest business enterprise?
hmmm i thnk religion is the next big thing to war..
anyway there s already simony in the church so adunai profit..hehehe..pero ang 1987 CONSTITUTION OF THE REPUBLIC OF THE PHILIPPINES sec. 6 article 2 states that "The separation of Church and State shall be inviolable "....lisod pa jud..
I dont agree with the term profit. Profit is more appropriate to business. Religion is about vocation and dedicating ones life for his belief. Priest have to take care of their physical needs while tending the spiritual needs of its flock.

To tell you about earnings of the Church, much of it is spent for Church maintenance, some of it is for subsidizing parochial schools, the rest go to Charity. I admit that the priest some kind of allowance. These people leave their families and forego marriage. They are entitled to few perks in life. We should be more understanding to them than being cynical.
you should have known better through actual abservation.

where do you get this info by the way? i would appreciate it if you could give me concrete figures that will somehow vouch your claim..

anyway, who was it who said that POLITICS/GOVERNMENT OFFICE is far the most profitable business endeavor huh? i guess it pretty much explains why more people would want to grab a slot in our public seat than those in church altar..

Data i don't have anymore. Maybe "The Religion Business" by Alfred Balk will help you get some of the informations you needed.

whoever was it who said that "POLITICS/GOVERNMENT OFFICE is ...the most profitable business..." does not know the fundament and foundation that define the essence of such entity.

"politics/government office" is not a business. their corruption makes them one which the law, upon which it is built, prohibits. religion is. its very foundation - the scripture and their dogmas, makes it basically one.

Which is the bigger business? politics in a particular government in its corrupted form (that makes it a "business") is generally limited to its local boundaries. Religion, under the auspices of the church (i.e the Roman Catholic) does its business beyond terrorial boundaries, and is truly global in scope. This is common knowledge.

in my opinion it is okay to call it profit..coz it is a product of simony..syunana ka.. magpakasal ang bayad sang service nag vary..adonai special na-ai ordinary..service ang gina term nila ana..nya na-ay corresponding bayad..and if dili ka magpakasal sa imo parokya naa ka bayaran...mura ug multa..ma pugos pud ka kai dili man hatag sa kinahanglan para sa lain parokya...sa katoliko ni cya..

mao man ni ang gitawag nila ug simony..

Ayaw na lang pakasal. Gasto man kaha?

a church is made up of taxpayers, individuals who meet to worship and minister cooperatively.. it is not a separate profit-making business, but a fellowship of believers.. err to tax a church would be to double-tax individuals who make up the church.. if you look at the picture on a wider perspective

churches are not as rich as some people think.. gifts, not Sales/Revenue, to churches are tithes that are commanded and offerings that are given to ministry the church is supposed to do.. it is a small fellowship of believers who are doing what they are supposed to do.. much was donated by others outside the fellowship who have already paid taxes on the money they gave... err so how can anyone want to double-tax that money?
