i'd like to think that the rationally for this 4-day work scheme is mainly to cut expenses and not really improving government worker's work efficiency.. the latter i find quite impossible to pull out in no time, i believe this scheme has undergone to a considerable benefit against opportunity cost studies/differential analysis..
dili ko pabor sa 4-day work week. there's nothing wrong with hard work. musamot atong problema if daghan tapulan.
if the purpose of the 4- day work week is to cut downs expenses, why can't the goverment start with the PORK BARREL? also, i heard that ang utility man sa gsis has 25000 monthly sweldo. asa ka ana?!?
I don't really see the rationale for the 4 day work week. according to a friend who works for a gov't agency, they come in at 7:00 and go home at 6:00. That means they do 2 hours extra work every day for four days... 2 hours x 4 days = 8 hours. that means they STILL spend for 8 hours extra for everything!
And as an employer, giving people extra work everyday can make employees unproductive. So whoever thought of this scheme must be smoking a whole lot of cheeba if he thinks it's save the gov't any money.
i think its useless kay ang mga empleyado gapanglakaw na as early as 5pm......sayang ang gibayad sa gobyerno....
bitaw...Today is the start of the 4-day work week implemented to those Government EMPLOYEES...
Let's see what's the fuzz all about!!!
i'm not a government employee bro, but my mom and sis are.. i mean "were".Originally Posted by pnoize2k4
rationally in my own point of view is this, for cost minimization analysis, we have this thing we call variable costs, those that basically vary upon a certain level of activity or determinant.. in this case, what i perceive to be variable are the number of days that employees get to go into the office which would then entail additional expenses for light and electricity, water, etc.. having these scheme of cutting working days to only four gives government an avenue at minimizing their relevant costs. Though i just hope that they have looked into this matter deeply before coming up with the scheme.. salaries are totally out of the context since regardless if they are productive or what.. or if they work overnight or below minimum time, then they still basically get to receive the same amount of paycheck..
err.. since when do government employees became extra productive anyway? if i were the employer i'd look for any other means of saving costs.. that's if i don't have the prerogative at ousting an employee with just a snap..And as an employer, giving people extra work everyday can make employees unproductive. 4day work week para "daw" maka.save pero in the long run.. same expenses made kay ang electricity used equivalent ra sa longer hours spent in their offices... ang mga people sad ang mu.suffer especially those coming from far flung provinces... mas sayo sila manukad.. and the work is the same... still bureucratic.. red tape.. nya atubangan lang ko ug mang lipstick.. early lunch break/snack break ug unsa panang break2x dira... where is the service for the Filipinos? and they say this 4day work will enable us to save... dapat ang corruption ang i.answer... dili problemahon ang walay problema.. mag buta2x man gud dayon... tsktsk...
I thought the government will do this in order to fix traffic congestions during fridays and weekends. Imagine, they can drive with thier new BMW's on fridays without much trafiic.
The more long weekends, the more food, oil and gas sales. Good for the rich vendors.
Every 2 hours 15 minute breaks, smoking is good, for 12 hour shift Monday to Thursday.
Friday is *** day. More babies for the nation.
Saturday and Sunday, watch movies eat at the malls... more ticket sales.
A big NO to 4 day work week. It gives people in the government a valid excuse to SLACK OFF.
1] went to mandue's Local Civil Registrar & the 1st person came in at 8:32 AM instead of 7AM
2] nobody actually goes to these offices between 7AM - 8:30AM because people are still busy preparing for work & sending the kids to school. the same is true from 5PM onwards, people fetches kids from school, most of the private offices are already closed and majority of the people are already tired so who will bother to go to these government offices at these times?
3] a longer weekend for them, that means private individuals has to wait for 3 whole days before he can do a transaction with a government office. productivity will be low, the more our country won't grow.
i am also personally confused why this can earn savings on expenses when they will still render the same number of work hours per week.
humor me people... is there any other country in this planet implementing this right now? or are we the only country supid enough to adapt to such mediocre measures?
