ahh..lahi na pud nang cedar sinai hospital coz kung sa phils pa na, ma st. luke's ang pagka prestigious... dha bya mga famous ppl magpa hospital. then if special areas ka, taas pud ang rate.
depende ra jd na where ka na hospital and state mka work.. if sa bukid2x, $20 plus ra cgro imo rate. if sa new york ka, starting nila mga nearly $50 coz mahal kau living expenses and tax.
daghan man jd kau countries that need nurses, too bad lang we are not qualified to go there. example sa germany, their geriatric population will reach the highest by 2010 and they need ambot unsa to ka daghan nurses (read it in a Time article). of course, gusto daun to mu adto, BUT we don't know the language. same pud na sa japan.. phils have an agreement with them pero hellojapanese is so hard to learn (read and write). you have to learn all things nursing and medical in japanese, dba? in english nman gani daghan naman gani kau errors...how much more pa kaha in a foreign language na dili ta familiar.
huna2xA jd daan f mg.nursing mu...bcn naa namu tunga2x sa course b4 ninyu mrealize nga d ninyu field ang nursing.
take it up because its your choice..but its not highly recommended now unless you have a stright ticket abroad after you finish nursing..lisod i-larga kung wa kay kapamilya didto..
nursing is a course wherein investment is high and return is super low..gasto kag more or less half a million pesos (dala na tanan bayad sa school, books, allowance, expenses, etc) unya trabaho lang kag hospital na sweldo ug 5t a month..the rewards abroad are very big, pero getting there is like going to hell and back if wala kay mga family na makatabang nimo..
ako,im just taking it slow..R.N. nako working as a school nurse and taking up a master's degree program..
Ayaw mo pagRN or kung unsa pa nang kursuha kung wala mo'y nahibaw-an asa inyong kapaingnan after graduation. Sa Pilipinas lisod makakita ug trabaho as a nurse. The demand abroad is still soaring high but it's sooooo tough to get working visas especially to the US. Lahi man gud nang manghatag ug visa (immigration) sa manghatag ug trabaho (hospitals, nursing homes, and other employers). Kung nursing gyud inyong gusto, go for it. If you're going to seek for advice, kanang mga reliable source pud pareha anang directly from fellow nurses and other people working directly from the same field, dili kang Pedro nga nakadungog kang Juan nga nakadungog kang Jose nga mao daw ni, mao daw na.
No one should consider anyone's opinion besides their own.
It really depends on how one person perceives their "career". My father is a nurse in the states. He doesn't enjoy the job, but he does it because it is a source of income; he will enjoy the income thereafter.
Students should look into the not so distant future and try to see themselves as a nurse, engineer, artist, etc. And I mean REALLY look into it, research job opportunities after graduating/getting licensed, look for salaries for new workers in that field, and even expand your knowledge of global opportunities for yourself in that field.
High school students, 95% of the time, don't recognize the importance of understanding and truly believing in their career choice. This often leads to asking people for opinions, and succumbing to the will of their own parents.
My advice for those planning for their future is to see what they want out of it. Do you want a lavish lifestyle? Do you want a basic house with a basic car and an income that can support a solid family? Are you choosing your course because of pressure, because you enjoy it (cause eventually you won't, most of the time if not all the time), or because everyone is doing it?
Read, Research, Relate yourself to the most important decision of your life.
