If I can recall correctly, the issue started this way. Remember how the INC almost always attack the RC for its supposed "gazillion" wealth (Welll, everybody else does too)? When the construction of the pilgrimage center of the Basilica del Sto. Niño was announced...you know what I'm gonna say next, right? Anyway, one Augustinian priest, in a homily, countered their attack by alluding to their own supposed "gazillion" wealth by drawing attention to the elegance of their church buildings found in many places in the Philippines. This was where it all began. The broadcast media also played this mudslinging back and forth too until it wasn't mud that was slung anymore when the Sinulog mardi gras passed by.

It didn't stop there, though. I don't know if you recall a news where an arsonist was arrested for trying to burn down the Basilica. I'm not sure if he was, you know from that other group. You know what happen to him now? He became Catholic. I'll wait for somebody else who knows the story here to tell you exactly why? He was not tortured to convert though, that I can assure you.

y? ummm...? maybe because iglesia cant reach even 1/8 of the catholic's population?hehehehe... bisan unsaon pa nila ug gal2x ug mga tao na mobalhin sa ila religion...long live gyud ang mga katoliko... puno lang gihapon kada oras tanan simbahan kada sunday! imagine that!hehehehe.... usahai bisan pa gani ug weekdays dbah? dili cla mo2.0 ug pasko..pero i know some iglesia nga mangayo pa gani ug pinaskohan..wahahaha....sa ilang simbahan dili puede mag karsones... pero sus kung mka laag na gani ig nytlyf... kuwang nlng maghubo tungod sa mga saplot nga mura bag nagkuwang na sa tila..hehehe...mypang mga katliko...y daghn bawal pero ang "faith" mao lang gihaopn... although mkasasala just like evryone else..pero dili mgpaka aron ingnon...hehehehe... im not generalizing ha...its just that i know some...so mao nka ingon ko...

actually according to mathew jesus was born on march... dec. 25 is an old special day... it's the date of the winter solstice... dec. 25 is already holy way before christianity was founded... gi-gamit lang ang tradition para di ayo mu lahi sa belief sa mga pagans na gi-convert intoi christianity... there is a term about ana... na limot lang ko... sort of like adoption/adaption

Of course I refer to the Holy Bible, which has many authors inspired by one Divine Author. The date of the Lord's birth is not stated explicitly as "December 25" as the Jews did not use the Gregorian Calendar. A couple of verses in the Old and the New Testaments will prove it though.

Actually, He was conceived in His Mother Mary's womb in March. And was born nine months after-- which is December.

Who wrote what? The Old and New Testament? The whole Bible? Which author are you asking me to identify?

Here is a link to an article in the online Catholic Encyclopedia aboout Chrismas. It should be noted though that the Catholic Church never taught that commemorating Christmas is necessary for salvation. By the way, where in the Bible can you find the list of books that should be included in it? Have you read Collosians 4:16? Did you obey it?

If you are too keen on certain traditions, why are you following the tradition of separating phrases or sentences into verses in the books of the Bible? Certainly, St. Paul could not have written his epistles to the Ephesians, Corinthians, Thessalonians, and others with verses and chapters. You are indeed following a human tradition which never existed early on the history of Christianity.
