Gigabyte GA EP45 UD3R all the way!
DFI LP JR P45 T2RS
Gigabyte GA EP45 UD3R
+1 ko ani.. i am for the gigabyte mobo because dili ka mg lisod sa rma and its a good mobo.. havent tried any of the boards but im sure DFI mobos OC well. If cash/budget isnt a problem by all means go DFI. as any enthusiast here would want to try a dfi mobo even for just a short time. =)
OT:
yong.. if you come across a Tpower I45 let me know. =)
why oh why, wala man stock sa DP LP Jr GF9400 T2RS? ganahan na unta ko kay naa decent onboard video in case I decide to do something with my current graphics card.
I'll try checking in TipidPC to see if someone can hook me up, now back to considering the UD3R.
@ box2joe: tag 8.4k raman ang GF9400 nga LP Jr sa TPC.mura nasayop ang pricelist ni andz, 8.7k ra lagi?
As far as the warranty is concerned, wala man sad Gigabyte distro diri sa Cebu. The part goes to Manila anyway for RMA.

Hello everyone, I'm back online. It was exactly 3 weeks that I didn't have a computer, what made it took so long is the dilemma between these 2 boards. I finally chose the GA EP45 UD3R for the following reasons:
Expandability and Connectivity
- 8 SATA ports (2 can be converted to ESATA, all ports have RAID function, can you ask for more than that?).
- 12 USB ports (8 through the I/O panel, 4 internal)
- 3 Firewire ports. 2 types accessible through the back, 1 internal connector. I do video editing from time to time, so these ports help.
- lots of PCI and PCIEx1 ports. Even with a graphics card installed, these ports are still accessible.
Overclockability
- haven't tried it yet but from the forum threads and the reviews I've read, this is the best P45 board price versus performance and connectivity out there. (world record on DDR2 speed and a lot of people running no less than 500FSB, of course it depends on the processor)
- Effective cooling solution, they say the P45 chipset doesn't go too hot and coupled with the heatpipe system, gigabyte has implemented - it looks good.
My Gripes
- cable management sucks, this is specially trued on the SATA ports. I'm spoiled by DFI's implementation of left-side facing SATA ports which makes it easier to hide the ports.
I'll post a mini review on this board as soon as I get to know it well soon enough. Thanks everyone for your input.
goodluck with your new mobo poldopunk.. wakekeke... how much did you bought though?
